KOG storyboard - part 7 (fin!)
The last bit of boards from the pilot. I loved every second boarding this and for fun I've included a few more dev scribbles of Frankie and Andi. :]
KOG story boards - part 6
Second to last board posting from the pilot! Getting to draw Sir Arthur was my favorite part of this section hehehe.
KOG story boards - part 5
The Sparky scene. He's probably one of my favorite characters to draw. From a purely technical stand-point, beautiful characters can be frustrating and boring to me. Gimme designs that have lots of wrinkles and malice.
KOG - storyboards part 4
welcome back, dear patrons. 2026 has sure been a lot already, huh.Continuing with my boards and scenes through the knights of guinevere pilot.
KOG - story boards part 3
HAPPY 2026! Someone in the previous post asked if I still discover new things about the characters as I story board them or if they're tightly written and the boards are refined versions of that to which I'll say, a little of both? There are a few characters whose mannerisms, actions, and fe...
KOG - story boards part 2
Continuing to make my way through the episode! Andi's little 'outburst' here and Frankie's choice to 'help' is where I feel like I really understood their characters and their journeys. KOG is a story where I know 100% where everyone ends up but how they react in smaller mome...
Fuck it, Harpies your Guinevere
Doodlin tonight
KOG - boards part 1
Boarding the pilot was an absolute joy, from start to finish. Writing + boarding are, without fail, the most fun parts of the process for me. I also enjoy animating but it's still very challenging, I haven't done it enough to get to that fun stage, if you know what I mean. (Part 1/10)
Bridge City Sinners - Illust
Taking a little bit of a break from KOG-posting to show a more hires version of this commission I had the honor to do for one of my favorite bands of all time - The Bridge City Sinners! Either this week or next I'll start posting boards from the pilot, though.
KOG dev - more early sketches
Early Andi, and an early Gwen, when she was quite a bit shorter and sporting some fluffier short hair. I always thought that style was cute but for her official Princess design it didn't fit with the other-worldly, cartoonish monarch we were striving for. And for Andi I liked the slicked-back ha...
KOG dev - old Frankie run cycle
Before her design was finalized (when she still had her teeth!) I just had the urge to do this run cycle. Not the most exciting thing in the world but I wanted to see her in motion.
KOG dev - dancers and nurses
An early version of "Ballerina Guinevere", except in this version I was leaning more towards a "space-baroque" dancer. This was also before our wonderful art director, Amber Blade Jones, nailed down her signature buns so for a while I would draw her with these messier (and more annoy...
KOG dev!!! Yes more!!!
More dev!!! Figuring out Andi’s style outside of her work clothes (just for fun), the first drawings of the two as kids, and one SUPER early concept of what buildings may look like in Frankie and Andi’s neighborhood. I mix of cheap building material, shoddy structure, and fallen statues from the...
more KOG dev
Visdev for the security guards before the final design went to our amazing designer Daun Han, and some sketches for what eventually became the acrylic standees. I've said it before but I'll say it again, it was so fun to be included in the design of the merch! Just the consideration to be as...
KOG dev
These were drawn before our partnership with Glitch, exploring the characters, exploring the design sense we wanted to go with. Obviously they look a little different now, but we were only a couple iterations from their final designs.
Knights of Sketch-evere
Or whatever. Sketchbook thumbs for marketing, posters, and boards! Hope you enjoyed the pilot!
Sketchbook - midsummer scream horror convention
Sketches of a couple con goers I saw.
KOG - See you September 19th
That is all
KOG Title Card!
One thing I'm super proud of is getting to design the actual logo for KOG! It's not something I've ever done so I remember looking at so many swirly fonts, doing so many crappy versions in my sketchbook, and then finally just taking the plunge and drawing the black and white draft you se...
Sketchbook - Guinevere and Sharkboy
More pages :)
Sketchbook doodles
All I have time for outside of KOG right now.
Sketchbook - Mini Harpy
Attempts to build sketchbook habits again.
Her
I have been radio silent for a while but it’s because 99% of what I’m drawing these days is for KOG. It’s coming out quite beautifully and I’m very proud of the this crew.
Young Raeda
More of this kinda stuff just for fun ink practice. Was just thinking how they'd look in Knock, knock, knockin' on Hooty's Door if I had my druthers and a movie-sized budget.
Young Adult Eda
In her 20s. She'll always love a good skirt to twirl. Ink + G-Pen, grayscale in Clip.
Figure Drawing but make it *storyboards*
I try to go to an uninstructed figure drawing class weekly, and anyone who does this knows that some weeks you’re just not hitting it. Everything‘s coming out weird, maybe you’re distracted by something else, so what could be helpful is turning it into a completely different kind of study. I w...
Color Option
A second color option for the most recent KOG image I shared. Hard choice but I just like the other one a liiiittle more.
Update :)
Knights of Guinevere has finally been announced, I've been waiting for this ALL YEAR! Now I can finally share why my updates and posts have been sporadic! I've been WORKING and my experience at Glitch has been nothing short of lovely. Anyway, I was hoping to post something day of the announc...
