they seem fine... until you look closely. i've never used them myself, wouldn't crank too hard on them, but... for the price... not to mention you could always return broken ones? it's tough.

Top tip: for cutting with crimped mesh, rather than using your hands, recruit your body weight by sitting on the mesh. Better yet, heat it to red heat first. It's a trick you'll never forget after the first time you use it!

Ive had these things in my hand at Harbor Freight more times than I can count, and haven't got them. I've ran into situations where I could have really used them like... twice. Mentioning the mower deck though, that made me realize I could at least use them for like three different scenarios, and now that ratio of "length of time sitting on my cart to use time" is starting to look a lot more worth while. Now I just need to circle back to Inheritance Machinings video about a saw arbor, make that, buy some slitting saws, so I can make these butt clamps for free 😃

That was awesome! I think anything made instead of buying for HF is a good enough use of time. I mean just because they're from the cheapest manufacturer doesn't mean they'll even work. Seent that before.
