If you leash your kid, you're a bad parent. Then the same people who will accuse you of such will tell you to "get control" of your kids in public spaces. It's a lose/lose. Judgmental people are gonna judge. Just do your best and do what feels right to you. In my experience, the most judgemental parents/people are absolutely miserable human beings. Edit* want to specify that being critical of bad parenting and/or badly behaving children is normal and fair. I'm referring to people who pit you in a corner and anything you do is "wrong". You leash em, wrong. They're unleashed, still wrong.
