I really liked this episode -- I loved seeing everyone's different paths in and their different relationships to the films and books. Also Lowri made me VIVIDLY flash back to when the movies were coming out and I was in Jr. High and all my friends were absolutely obsessed. I was also fondly remembering the Very Secret Diaries.

Would it be too much to ask for even more lotr episodes when (if? when) enthusigasm gets renewed for a season 2? You can never have too much lotr imho (in my hobbit opinion)

Once again just pure joy to listen to. It's so fun to listen to passionate people just IMMEDIATELY dive into the nitty-gritty, the mechanics, the obscure facts, the exact names and scenes — and turns out, regardless of my knowledge of the topic! I haven't rewatched the movies in 10 years and it's still just fun and interesting from start to finish to hear people go "okay, so the first fight scene was..." This show is making up for my yearning to hang out with a bunch of friends talking about fandom... It's a wonderful way to round out the week and I really hope it continues after this season! Also April just summed up fandom as a whole with that top quote.
