just draw and post like they normally do my artist mutuals have drawn league chars behind paywalls before (including Deadbeat) and they've been fine, and the worst they could do IF they ever got to do anything is to send a CnD, at which point Deadbeat could just remove the league characters, but even that is an unlikely situation

Technically that actually has some issues, Riot does mention about paywall contents. Plus even if it wasn’t, the whole mess of litigation can get expensive

No don't do this. You'll be fine drawing those characters because your art falls under fair use, not infringing upon their copyright.
