How people view the sire bond is very divisive over these episodes. Also, how becoming a vampire changes a person. Interesting to see your discussion on it. It seems clear based multiple discussions that becoming a vampire intensifies emotion, not creates them. Which says a lot about the way she loves the brothers. Both of those loves would be effected by turning… but it’s the way she loves Damon (& has been reluctant & embarrassed to admit) that is the deepest. And the sire bond appears to not fundamentally change someone’s feelings. Damon never said “love me.” She already did. He never said “sleep with me.” Those decisions are hers. Yes, there were times when he told her she couldn’t do things (unknowingly using the sire bond) but none of those were in regard to her feelings about him or Stefan.

What did your guys think about Lexi telling Damon to separate from stefan in the 1940’s? I personally think that it was wrong of Lexi to intervene. Damon and Stefan and have spent so long apart. They love each other and it clearly shows they were sad without each other for so long.
