Yeah, I can see why you decided against the money mattress. Minus the whole thing about previous tenants, how likely would it be that a mattress would have stayed upright for a decade or two despite past storms? I feel like it would have fallen over after a few years. Also I kinda like how Victor wanted to take it slower, it gives him and Brian more time to flesh out their relationship and iron out current issues.
