Just a reminder to everyone! (Please Read!)
🕑 Added 2018-04-01 13:51:06 +0000 UTC I've been going through some of the features for analysis here on Patreon and checked out a couple small surveys regarding the reasons people give when they decide to cancel their pledges.While I was happy to see that most people who chose to do so either do it due to personal reasons (like a tougher financial situation, which is totally understandable) or because their intent was to just make a one time pledge from the get go (again, totally understandable), I did find a couple ones, albeit a bit old, where the reasons were different, mostly (and I quote): "The creator isn't engaging as expected" and "The creator isn't delivering his promised rewards".
Regarding the first one, I just wanted to ask you guys if I'm missing the mark somewhere. I'm not exactly sure what "not engaging as expected" entails (because it's a pre-set option Patreon gives in the list of reasons for the exit survey), but if anyone feels dissatisfied with my manner of engagement, I'd totally welcome feedback from you to tell me exactly what is lacking in your opinion, so hopefully I can work on that. I try to answer as many comments as possible as soon as possible, and I'm pretty sure I get to answer to most PMs (maybe one or two slip through the cracks, but I honestly couldn't tell so far if that was the case, but please feel free to correct me on that if I'm wrong), but if you feel like I'm missing something somehow, please let me know!
Regarding the last one, however (the creator isn't delivering his promised rewards), that one did sound a bit strange, but maybe there is some misunderstanding, so I'll try to explain in more detail:
For people who donate USD 10 or above (and manage to pass at least one of those payments at the end of the month), I've promised to send them any of my (at the time of the donation) current pieces through email in full resolution with a customized message and signature of their choice. This is and was always the case. I've sent many of these already... But I think some people donate and then forget to send me a PM with their request.
Here is the thing: I cannot know if you're just donating USD 10 expecting the reward, or if you're just doing it to help without really looking for it (I've had many cases in which people outright told me they were doing it just with the purpose to help). The only info I get to my mail is that someone is pledging X amount, and that someone either left a comment on my content or sent a PM... So in order to know if you want the reward or not, you MUST send me a PM asking for it, otherwise I have no way of knowing unless I start personally asking everyone donating in that tier (which is really hard, because people join and leave every day, keeping track of the whole movement is super complicated).
So remember: Always let me know if you feel I'm mishandling my rewards or engagement, somehow, and if there is something you would like to know or some suggestion you have to make things better for all of you who collaborate to keep me going, once again... Let me know!

I've heard one or two people with similar concerns regarding crossposting, but going against that would imply start making Patreon-exclusive content, which... I mean, while I "get it" and I think it's normally an OK thing to do (it would certainly boost up my donations quite a bit, that's for sure), I don't want to start "chopping my content into pieces" and selling it only to those who pay up, that feels like going against what made my content widespread in the first place (aka: Accessibility). Now, if there was a way to make content only for Patreon users that wouldn't imply literally cutting off entire pieces from all my viewers (i.e.: When I start working on the programming part of my Tales of Faenia VN project, I intend to open beta-tester positions for those who pay under a certain pledge tier, which would give early access for them, and yet the game would be free for everyone once it's done and released), I would gladly consider that... Or if it has to be Patreon-exclusive content, at least something that won't detract all that much from those who follow me but can't pay. IDK, I just don't feel all that good "scrapping" content off for pay... Dunno, it's a weird, difficult position I'm in. Thanks for your feedback, by the by!

Well I can only speak for myself, but in comparison to other creators, I feel you engage just as much, or well within averages., Maybe some people on here feel neglected because you cross post a lot of work to other sites you've long been active on (DeviantArt and Newgrounds spring to mind) and as a result are engaging with fans there as well, but who knows. I think you're doing fine as always Fate.
