🕑 Added 2024-05-11 13:08:18 +0000 UTCThere were a lot of things Ruby Rose expected to encounter when she entered her room from their day out in Vale. Weiss washing and drying her hair in a rush was expected. A man barging in while they were dropping their stuff was not one of them however.
As Weiss screeched in panic but before Ruby and Yang could even react, the man throws a cylinder at her and out comes….
“ZWEI!” Ruby squealed as Zwei flew through the air at her.
And just like that, everything was defused. Everyone watched as the gray corgi popped out of the mail cylinder and crashed into Ruby’s arms.
“Sup, girls? How have you been?”
“U-hahaha. Zwei stop!” Ruby would have loved to reply but she could only laugh as Zwei started to lick her face, causing her to fall on her ass as the corgi enthusiastically licks and sniffs her face..
“W-who are you and what is that?!” Weiss shrieks, looking back and forth between the person who barged in and Zwei who was still licking Ruby’s face.
“Uncle Qrow! You’re here and you brought Zwei with you!” Yang greets with a smile, answering Weiss’ questions after hiding their shopping bags inside their cabinets.
“You heard her, Ice Queen. I’m these two’s favorite uncle and this little munchkin here is Zwei. here, catch.” Uncle Qrow answers, grabbing Zwei away from Ruby and throwing him at Weiss.
“You’re our only uncle.” Yang rolls her eyes as she ignores Weiss screaming in the background before it turns into cooing.
Free of Zwei, Ruby zooms past her sister to cling to her uncle’s arm.
“Uncle Qrow! Hi! It’s so good to see you! Did you miss me?! Did you miss me?!”
“Nope.” Qrow replies, popping the p before sharing a grin with Ruby and laughing together.
“Who’s a good boy? Who’s a good boy? Yes, you are. Yes, you-” Weiss coos behind them, nuzzling Zwei with her cheeks before her sound turns into one of struggle. “Wait, Zwei! Where are you going?!”
Zwei jumps out of Weiss’ arms and Ruby gets off of her uncle to open her arms, thinking the dog was coming for her. Her eyes widen however when Zwei zooms past her and slams their door open.
“Zwei! No!”
The world slows down as Ruby takes in the figures outside of their door. She could see Jaune looking back at her while arm in arm with Blake and then the next thing she knew, Blake was leaping onto Jaune’s shoulders in an impressive display of agility as Zwei leaps upward.
Ruby felt horrified as Zwei proceeded to headbutt Jaune’s crotch. She winces even more as she sees Blake launch herself from Jaune’s shoulders, causing Ruby’s best friend to faceplant on the floor as Blake leapt onto Pyrrha’s arms.
“Jaune! Are you okay?!” Ruby yells worriedly as she rushes to Jaune’s side.
“I-I’m okay. What hit me?” Jaune replies in a high-pitched voice even as Zwei continues to sniff him out.
Laughter from inside their room drowns his reply however and Ruby frowns.
“HAHAHA! That would be Zwei, this little pupper over here! You okay there, VB?” Yang walks up to Jaune’s other side, leaning down to lift him off of the ground.
“D-Damn. I thought it was at least a Grimm.” Jaune whispers back, trying his best to get his breath back even as he lets Zwei smell at his feet.
Ruby giggles at that even as a new voice chuckles at their interaction.
“Don’t underestimate Zwei here, kid. I’ve seen this good little boy be the cause of death of Beowulfs and Ursae alike.” Uncle Qrow pipes in.
“You can add my balls to the list of casualties then.” Jaune adds hoarsely, still bent-over in pain.
Yang and her uncle laugh at that reply even as Ruby looks at Jaune in mortification.
“Jaune!” She scolds, smacking her bestie in the shoulder.
“Ow. Sorry Ruby, it’s my coping mechanism to make me feel better from being brought down by a dog.” Jaune replies with a pout, getting a pat on the shoulder from Yang.
“Well, I like it and Zwei seems to like it too.” Yang smiles, giving Jaune a beaming smile from his other side.
Zwei barks at that and Ruby smiles when she sees Jaune lean down to scratch Zwei on his jaw.
“Heh. Sorry kid, but he does that to any boy who tries to get close to these girls. He likes you though so that’s a plus.” Qrow says thoughtfully, waving at Yang and Ruby beside Jaune while looking at Zwei lick at Jaune’s fingers.
“I mean, I’m not? But you know what? I’ll take it as a compliment. You must be their father.” Jaune shakes his head ruefully before raising his hand for a handshake with Uncle Qrow.
Ruby, Yang, and their Uncle Qrow widen their eyes at the same time before laughing loudly at that remark.
“Hahahaha, what makes you think that?” Uncle Qrow asks even as guffaws come out of his mouth.
Ruby could see Jaune frown at the question but even she couldn’t help but giggle at the thought of Uncle Qrow being her father. Uncle Qrow is cool but nobody is beating Dad in being the best dad for her ever.
“Ruby has black hair like you and your eyes are red and Yang’s eyes go red when she uses her Semblance.” Jaune answers with furrowed brows, pulling his outstretched hand back and catching everyone off guard with his observation.
Now that he mentions it…..Ruby takes a moment to peer at her uncle before shaking her head forcefully. Nope! Uncle Qrow actually being her dad? That’s pretty funny.
Ruby almost chokes on her giggle however when Blake locks eyes with her from her perch on Pyrrha’s shoulders. She shivers as Blake mouths to her two words. Two words that will never ever leave her mind.

Her eyes widen in horror but luckily for her, she’s the only one who actually noticed Blake mouthing those words. She sees Blake’s eyes widen as well and Ruby has the distinct feeling that Blake didn’t mouth those words to her intentionally. It is possible that it just slipped out of her friend’s mouth because of the surprise.
Ruby grows nervous however when Weiss gasps behind her. Turning rapidly at her partner, Ruby sees Weiss’ eyes flick back and forth between Ruby and her uncle.
“Pretty observant but no dice, kid. I’m their uncle. The name’s Qrow Branwen, coolest Huntsman in town.” Uncle Qrow shakes his head with a smile, puffing his chest out as he introduces himself.
Ruby couldn’t share her uncle’s enthusiasm however as Weiss mouths the same words Blake just did.

Ruby could see Yang stiffen from the corner of her eyes as well. It seems her sister also saw Weiss’ mouthing those damn words. Thank the Gods Uncle Qrow and Jaune were too busy talking to each other for them to notice the sisters’ shared turmoil.

“Yeah. He’s broader than you and has a tan but he did have Yang and Ruby’s mothers in each hand like you do with them right now.” Uncle Qrow suddenly glares, getting all of them to flinch back before processing his words.
Ruby’s eyes grow wide as she and her sister suddenly fling themselves away from Jaune. Zwei yips away, sensing the sudden tension and opting to run into Weiss’s arms who happily takes him to watch the drama together.
“Woah, wait?! What?!” Jaune raises his hands up defensively as he sees the older Huntsman take a step towards him.
“Uncle Qrow! It’s not what you think!” Ruby shouts, suddenly stepping forward to stop her uncle from murdering her best friend.
“Y-Yeah! Jaune’s cool and all but me and Ruby? T-that’s just crazy!” Yang adds in, her eyes flicking back and forth from Jaune, to her, then to their uncle.
“Yeah. That’s what Summer said about your father too then the next thing I know he was banging both your mothers.” Qrow grumbles, his eyes never leaving Jaune as he casually drops a bomb on his nieces.
“A-at the same time?!” Yang screeches as everyone’s eyes grow wide at that thought.
“Ewww! Eww! Ew! I did not need to know that!” Ruby closes her eyes and covers her ears before shaking her head and shouting as loud as she can. “LALALA! I HEARD-MPPHF!”
“Don’t be a prude. One, if you’re old enough to risk your life killing Grimm then you’re old enough to hear about stuff like this. Two, I didn’t specifically say at the same time.” Uncle Qrow however suddenly covers her mouth before rolling his eyes at them with a smirk.
“So it wasn’t a threesome?” Weiss gasps in surprise, covering her mouth and dropping Zwei in shock as her pale face turns red.
Zwei barks as he lands safely on the floor before running under Ruby’s bed. It was at that moment Uncle Qrow remembers that they actually had an audience watching them.
“Right. A Schnee. This is probably too much for you to hear, princess, so cover your ears.” Uncle Qrow turns back at Weiss and sighs condescendingly at her.
“I-it’s not! Don’t treat me like a child!” Weiss scowls indignantly, crossing her arms together with a blush on her face.
Uncle Qrow raises an eyebrow at that.
“Oh? Do you even know what a threesome is?” Uncle Qrow smirks, staring straight into Weiss’ eyes….that flickers to Jaune’s.
Ruby sees the exact moment Uncle Qrow realizes something was amiss as he stiffens up and turns around to look at a now blushing Jaune.

“Nothing, Uncle Qrow! We’re just friends! Best friends!” Ruby shouts, closing her eyes as she strains at the effort.
“I don’t believe it! You! Jaune! Did you chase after a standoffish swordswoman who wouldn’t give you the time of day?!” Uncle Qrow shouts, pointing a finger at Jaune’s direction.
Jaune’s eyes flicking back at Weiss who also happens to blush back at him answers Qrow’s question.
“The Schnee?!”
“NO!” Weiss screeches at that with a blush, stomping her foot in anger at the insinuation.
“N-No! I mean I had a crush on her but we’re over that now! We didn’t do anything!” Jaune shakes his head rapidly, clarifying the situation for Qrow.
Qrow takes a step back, seeing the genuine anger from Weiss and Jaune’s own desperation to deny it as proof enough that it didn’t happen.
“Okay. Okay. Thank the Gods.” Qrow sighs in relief, taking a swig from his flask on his belt. “For a moment there I actually thought you were like Tai.”
“I..uhhh….okay?” Jaune asks unsurely, scratching the back of his head and giving Ruby a look that blatantly says ‘please help me!’
Ruby gives him a thumbs up and a smile. Just as her uncle suddenly narrows his eyes at Jaune again, Ruby gives him a light punch on the gut.
“So what brings you here, Uncle Qrow? Other than dropping a truth bomb about my parents and humiliating me in front of my friends.” Ruby interrupts, getting a grunt from Uncle Qrow as he rubs his gut.
“Hey, I dropped Zwei for you, you know?”
“Zwei! That’s right?! Why are you here?” Ruby gasps, getting Zwei to run out of her bed and back to her arms.
“Your dad wanted me to bring him in as reinforcements for you.” Qrow answers, smiling at the sight.
“Reinforcements for what?” Yang asks as she leans down to rub Zwei on the head.
“Boys.” Qrow growls, sending a look at Jaune who only waves nervously.
“I doubt that’s all you’re here for. How’s dad by the way?” Yang rolls her eyes at him.
“He’s fine but you’re right. I’m actually here for Ozpin.”
“Professor Ozpin?” Ruby tilts her head at that as Weiss surreptitiously tries to get near her to pet Zwei.
“Yup, I’ve got Huntsman business with the big guy upstairs.”
DING!
A loud notification takes their attention however and they watch as Jaune clumsily tries to take out his scroll. Ruby’s brows furrow in worry as she sees Jaune smile shakily once he’s read the message.
“Jaune? Are you okay?” Pyrrha asks from outside the room and Ruby’s eyes widen as she sees Blake sitting on Pyrrha’s shoulders and looking worriedly at Zwei.
“Y-Yeah, I’m good. It’s from Professor Ozpin, it says I have to meet him at his office.” Jaune answers nervously with his shaky smile.
Ruby frowns at that. A meeting with the Headmaster in his office from out of nowhere? Not a good sign at all. Her uncle has a different opinion however.
“Perfect. We can go together and get to know each other.” Qrow grins, cracking his knuckles before stepping past Ruby to put his arm over Jaune’s shoulder.
Ruby winces apologetically at that. Sorry, Jaune, but there’s nothing she could actually do if they were headed for the same place.
Jaune gulps nervously at her reaction before slumping resignedly.
“Out of curiosity, do you have a red-haired partner?” Uncle Qrow asks as he leads her bestie out of the room.
“Uhm, yeah?” Jaune’s brow rises at that before furrowing confusedly.
“Okay, okay. You might want to check, she might have a hidden crush on you.” Qrow nods absently, maneuvering them away from Blake and Pyrrha.
Did….did her uncle really just say that out of nowhere? It’s surreal to think that if Jaune and Pyrrha hadn't gotten together by now then her uncle would have revealed Pyrrha’s crush just like that.
Pyrrha squeaks at that from outside, getting Blake to hiss nervously as she makes eye contact with Zwei.
“I-yeah. I have a partner and you might say she has a crush on me and I have a crush on her too-” Jaune answers just as they reach the hallway.
That was the last Ruby heard of their conversation as the two men walked together to Professor Ozpin’s office.

Walking to Professor Ozpin’s office with Ruby’s uncle was an experience in itself.
There were some threats of bodily harm if he made moves on Ruby and Yang but Jaune would admit that he was cool after they moved past his protectiveness over them.
Not that he could blame the man for his protectiveness. Jaune himself had seven sisters and he knew how protective he could be over family.
Which….just made Jaune imagine what kind of possible repercussions he’d have under Blake’s and Pyrrha’s families. If this was how Qrow reacted when he thought Jaune was sleeping with Ruby and Yang then he shivers at how Blake’s and Pyrrha’s families will react.
So yes, walking and talking with Qrow Branwen was an experience.
Walking into Professor Ozpin’s office was another however.
“Qrow Branwen. Now there’s a sight I could do without.” A cold voice greets them once they enter the office.
“Heyyy, who invited the Ice Queen here?” Qrow asks, smirking at the source of the voice.
Jaune freezes at the sight. A woman stood at attention behind the figure of General James Ironwood. Any other time Jaune would have found his eyes staring nervously at the stern general but not this time.
This time he had eyes on a certain woman.
Long white hair, smooth pale skin, and cold blue eyes? Yup, that’s a Schnee alright. And not just any Schnee. Jaune has actually met this woman before…in his dream that is.
It’s…..Winter Schnee. Winter Schnee was in the building and Jaune gasps as she raises an eyebrow at his presence.
“I did.” A commanding voice answers and Jaune gulps nervously as General Ironwood looks at them with a heavy stare.
This…..this was surely overkill, right? Even if Jaune was in trouble, having General Ironwood and Winter Schnee witness his punishment wasn’t necessary, right?
Qrow seems to think so because he raises an eyebrow at that reply.
“Yeah, but this seems a bit excessive, isn’t it? Members only if I’m reading the room right.”
Sparks seemed to fly through the air as Qrow Branwen and General Ironwood stared each other down. Jaune’s respect for Ruby’s uncle suddenly rises as General Ironwood sighs in agreement.
“Winter, you’re free to visit your sister.”
Winter jolts in surprise before moving to complain.
“But sir-”
“That’s an order, Specialist. I’m sure your sister would appreciate the visit as well.” General Ironwood says sternly.
Winter takes a moment to compose herself before bowing her head with a neutral look on her face.
“Yes, Sir. What about the student?”
Jaune’s breath gets stuck on his chest as Winter gives him a measuring look.
“I invited him.” Professor Ozpin calls out, seated behind his table with Professor Glynda beside him.
“...Yes, Sir.” Winter responds blankly, her footsteps loud as she walks forward in their direction.
She freezes for a moment when Qrow smirks at her but she moves past Jaune and Qrow and continues on to enter the elevator they just took to reach this place.
“Did you really have to antagonize her?” Professor Glynda sighs out, pinching the bridge of her nose after Winter enters the elevator.
“Hey, I just asked a question and made an observation, that's all.” Qrow smiles cheekily as he lightly pushed him forward. “I brought your student by the way.”
Jaune stumbles but catches himself before he can fall on the floor.
“Mr. Arc, I apologize for the sudden summons but we find ourselves having some urgent business with you.” Professor Ozpin calls out and the room falls silent as everyone turns to look at Jaune.
And just like that, Jaune could literally feel the air in the office get heavier. The sound of the gears on the ceiling were the only sound echoing through the room before Jaune clears his throat.
“A-am I in trouble, Professor?” Jaune asks nervously.
Instead of answering his question however, Professor Ozpin waves him to approach the table while getting Professor Goodwitch to float a chair in front of it with her Semblance.
Thud!
Jaune gulps as the chair lands firmly on the floor and he steps forward to sit down on it.
“Tell me, Mr. Arc, how has your time here been in Beacon?” Professor Ozpin asks, getting a cup of coffee from Professor Goodwitch.
“I-it’s been good, Professor.” He answers shakily as his chair gets flanked by General Ironwood on his right and Qrow Branwen on his left.
“And your team? How have they been?” Professor Ozpin continues and Jaune has the feeling the man is trying to stare right into his soul.
Despite the heavy atmosphere he was currently experiencing, Jaune couldn’t help but smile at the thought of his team. Pyrrha, Ren, and Nora. They’re the best teammates he could have.
“They’re amazing, Professor. They’ve been helping me train.” He says smoothly, his fear taking a backseat as he draws strength from his team.
Maybe Professor Ozpin just wants to know about how his team is doing?
Besides, they still had to serve that punishment from fighting Roman in the middle of Vale. For all he knew, he could have been called as team leader to brief him on how they will work with the police for PR reasons.
Still, he waits patiently as Professor Ozpin hums thoughtfully at him.
“Hmmm. Speaking of training, Glynda tells me you’ve also been training your Semblance.”
Jaune grins at that. Despite how its prolonged use landed him in the infirmary, Jaune won’t ever forget how his Semblance was such a game changer.
“Yes, Professor. I’ve actually managed to train harder and longer because of how it could heal and strengthen me.”
His thoughts turn to the feeling of using it. The power, speed, strength, protection, and healing it offered were just so amazing that it was hard not to get swept by his own hype at times.
Professor Ozpin’s next words get his complete attention however.
“That’s good to hear. I’m happy to see how much you’ve improved from the boy who snuck into Initiation untrained.”
Untrained……Untrained.
Jaune’s heart drops and his insides grow cold at the realization.
“You knew?” He whispers in horror.
“That your transcripts were fake? It was painfully obvious, Mr. Arc.” Professor Glynda answers as she fixes her glasses.
Jaune gulps at that, remembering just where he is and who he was with.
“Am I….Am I getting arrested?”
He whimpered when Qrow put a hand on his shoulder with a terrifying smile on his face.
“Qrow!” Professor Glynda scolds him instantly as he laughs at Jaune’s reaction.
“Hahaha! You should’ve seen your face. You actually thought I was going to arrest you! Hahaha!” Qrow laughs heartily as Jaune tries his best to get his heart back under control.
“Y-You’re not?”
“Of course not! News flash kid, you’re not the only one who did that.” Qrow answers proudly, relishing Jaune’s gobsmacked expression as he points to himself. “I did the same thing and look how I turned out.” Qrow finishes with a wink.
Humiliation burned through Jaune at his reaction. He had Ruby’s bonafide Huntsman uncle on one side and the General of Atlas on another! It was inevitable his thoughts turned to that line of thinking!
Professor Ozpin chuckles at the scene as he takes a sip of coffee.
“Qrow is right, Mr. Arc. How do you think your teammates Mr. Lie and Ms. Valkyrie managed to enter Beacon? They certainly didn’t have a transcript from a Combat School. Or how about Ms. Belladonna? I doubt she had the time to pursue an education considering her activities in the past.”
Jaune gapes at that. How….How did he not think about that?! Professor Goodwitch frowns when she sees his expression however.
“Please do not think that it is that easy to trick Beacon, Mr. Arc. Ordinarily, we would have sent you away for your own safety but certain faculty members determined that it was better to risk your life by allowing you to go through with Initiation.” Professor Goodwitch adds before glancing at Ozpin.
“The fact that you passed it means you have earned a place here in Beacon. You just needed to train harder to reach your peers’ levels. Which I might say you are doing splendidly in.” Professor Ozpin finishes with a smile
Jaune nods his head shakily in relief at that.
“T-thank you, Professor. Does that mean I am not in trouble?”
“Ahem.”
General Ironwood clearly faking a cough sends shivers up his spine however and his heart grows cold as he sees his judging stare aimed straight at Jaune.
“While Beacon allows you a place in its halls, there is still the issue of you being involved with the White Fang.”
“What?” Jaune asks with wide eyes.
“Your actions have endangered Vale as well as driven the terrorists to hide their operations deeper. If you had let the authorities do their job then we would have already caught them by now in one fell swoop.” General Ironwood finishes as Qrow whistles from Jaune’s other side.
That’s…That’s not fair. Sure he could understand where the General was coming from but…he thought this issue was already over.
Professor Goodwitch has already given them their punishment so there should be no need to revisit this issue at all. It’s not like they were planning to hunt for the White Fang again with Blake-.
Jaune gasps as he suddenly remembers Blake’s decision. They weren’t going to hunt the White Fang anymore because they were going to let the adults do it instead. And with General Ironwood bringing it up then… Well, nobody can blame him for taking advantage of the situation.
“General Ironwood, Sir.” Jaune calls out nervously, getting the general to raise an eyebrow at him. “We…We found out that the White Fang have operations going on outside of Vale in the southeast direction.”
“And…how did you come to possess such information?” General Ironwood asks skeptically.
“Well…uh….we kinda snuck inside a White Fang meeting?”
Jaune winces at the harsh inhale of air Professor Goodwitch does from beside Professor Ozpin. As far as reactions go, that was tame compared to Jaune’s expected reaction of shouting in surprise and anger.
“Let me get this straight, you snuck into a White Fang meeting?”
“Uhm…Yes, ma’am.” Jaune nods nervously as Professor Goodwitch stares at him right in the eyes..
“A meeting for a group that is for Faunus only.”
“Well, Roman Torchwick was there-” Jaune shrugs at that before being interrupted by Professor Glynda’s exasperated shout.
“Mr. Arc!”
“R-right, we were in disguise and Roman was making a speech. He told everyone there at the time that they already had some members operating outside of the city in the southeast direction.”
“Damn, sneaking in with a disguise? What are you? A spy? How did you get past their guards? I assume they had guards.” Qrow whistles in appreciation before looking at him with a curious gaze.
Jaune’s mind takes him back to that day and he remembers….Neo. Suffice to say, he was not gonna share the fact that he thinks he bought Neo’s silence by letting her suck his dick. Instead, he clears his throat and gets his body under control before it betrays him and looks at Qrow straight in the eyes.
“We didn’t.”
“WHAT?! THEN HOW ARE YOU HERE?!” Professor Goodwitch screeches worriedly and Jaune winces at the sound.
Rubbing his ears painfully, he turns to Professor Goodwitch to answer. He knew by now that the best way to lie was to lie with the truth in it. He just had to be careful not to reveal the whole truth.
“It was luck and desperation.” Truth so far.
“There were guards and my disguise didn’t hold up.” He continues slowly, getting all of them hooked. Even General Ironwood listened intently.
“I had nothing else on my sleeve so….” They leaned in closer and then just as they were getting impatient, he answered.
“I acted.”
“You…acted? Like you did something? What did you do?” Qrow tilts his head skeptically at him.
Jaune shook his head at that.
“No, acting. Like playing a character. I told them I was a Faunus who got my ears cut off at a young age.”
Professor Glynda gasps, putting a hand over her mouth while Professor Ozpin silently finishes his cup of coffee. General Ironwood didn’t react audibly but Jaunce could see his bearing straightening instantly.
“They believed that?” Qrow asks with wide eyes.
Jaune had no intention whatsoever of telling him that he had to prove he was a horse Faunus first by showing his dick first which led to him getting a blowjob from Neo. He settles for nodding silently as everyone looks at him with mixed reactions.
Only Qrow looked on in approval.
“Damn, nice one, kid. I doubt I would have pulled off something like that.”
“Something would’ve gone wrong immediately.” General Ironwood snorts at Qrow at an inside joke only they knew and it was the first positive reaction Jaune has seen from the man.
“Mr. Arc, I hope you do not plan on doing something like that again. You do not need to put yourself in needless danger when you have us to rely on.” Professor Goodwitch pipes in worriedly.
“Don’t worry, Ms. Goodwitch. No more hunting criminals for me while I’m still a student.” Jaune shook his head, giving her a grateful smile for her concern.
“While we are thankful for the information, it is not the reason we have called you here, Mr. Arc.” Professor Ozpin cuts in, getting Jaune to look at him in confusion.
It’s not? He isn’t being punished for his transcripts. He also isn’t being punished for his actions to look for the White Fang. So what can he be here for?
“It has to do with your Semblance.” Professor Ozpin nods and Jaune furrows his brows at that.
“My Semblance?”
“Walk with me, Jaune.” Professor Ozpin stands up, causing Jaune to stand as well as they walk towards the elevator.
Flanked by Professor Goodwitch, Qrow Branwen, and General Ironwood, Jaune has the particular feeling he was being led into something a student like him wasn’t supposed to. He tries to rack his brain as much as he can but even his dream of being in another world where he passed Initiation by himself holds no answers. No memories of him being led somewhere because of his Semblance or anything like that.
Ding!
As the elevator opens to accommodate them, Jaune squirms uncomfortably as he is put in the middle of the group. Jaune frowns at the tight fit and his eyes go wide as they begin to descend….continuously.
At first he thought they were going somewhere else on campus. Perhaps the training grounds to test his Semblance for something but in just a few moments it was obvious they weren’t going somewhere on campus. They were going under it.
Ding!
His eyes grow wider as they reach their destination and the elevator opens up to a large underground hallway.
“Professors….where are we?” He mutters in awe as he looks at the high ceilings above him while everyone walks forward.
“We….are somewhere special, Mr. Arc. Somewhere confidential.” Professor Ozpin answers gravely. “You see…someone special is currently in here. Someone who needs your help.”
“My…help?”
“Your Semblance to be more specific, Mr. Arc” Professor Goodwitch answers for him.
It takes almost two minutes of walking but Jaune gasps as he sees a pod. There were two pods actually but only one had a person in it. A woman to be exact.
She only had white wrappings of fabric on her chest and her waist to cover her privates. She had brown skin, short brown hair, and she had scars all over the left side of her face.
Even from afar, Jaune could tell the person wasn’t in a good condition. She was in a coma for one.
“Why me? Why not a hospital?” He asks, looking intently at her features not to appreciate for his own pleasure but to learn more about this person who needed his help.
“Our facilities here in Beacon are top notch and would serve as a safer choice than a hospital. We can keep her alive physically but…” Professor Glynda shook her head as she too looked at the woman.
She was older than him but not by much. Perhaps by five or six years at the most. She was certainly a Huntress judging by how fit she was meaning….whatever hurt her was something he certainly had no business facing.
“You see, Mr. Arc. This person here was hurt because she has….a special power within her.” Professor Ozpin adds slowly, turning to him with a serious look.
“A…special power?” Jaune furrows his brows at that.
“A Semblance, if you will. This….particular Semblance can be…passed to another person. You must understand that I can not tell you the details of the power for your own safety.” Professor Ozpin answers thoughtfully.
“Must have been some Semblance.” He mutters absently as he raises his hand to touch the cold glass separating him from the woman.
“It is. So much so that someone resorted to hurting her. Another person who had the capacity to steal her power.” Professor Ozpin adds, clarifying the situation as much as he can.
“Steal…her power? Her Semblance?! That’s awful!” Jaune shouts in horror at the implication.
Semblances were part of the soul! To steal one is to steal the soul!
“Yes, you see now why we need to resort to this kind of measure to keep her safe. If they were willing to hurt her to steal it then they are willing to use it to hurt others.” General Ironwood nods gravely beside him.
Jaune could follow that logic. You don’t look for something if you aren't going to make use of it. If someone wanted to hurt this poor woman just to get that kind of power then chances were that person was going to use that power for bad.
“What do you need me to do?” He asks resolutely, stepping back to look at all of them.
“Use your Semblance, obviously.” Qrow answers gruffly with a roll of his eyes.
Right. His Semblance could heal, it was obvious they wanted him to use it but he needed to know what else they could tell him so he would know what to focus on. He still remembers healing Ren too fast and snapping his bones back into place. He didn’t like the thought of him going all in with Semblance only to hurt her even more or worse, make her accidentally explode like Nurse Tsune warned him, not that he’s seen that happen.
“What happened to her?” Jaune shook his head even as Professor Glynda opened the pod with the push of a button.
“Someone managed to absorb part of her…Semblance. I barely managed to make it in time and fled to save her life.” Qrow says after taking a swig from his flask and frowning into the distance.
Jaune nods his head at that. Right. So part of her Semblance was stolen, meaning part of her soul was now. He understands now why Professor Ozpin asked him to do this. If all goes well…he would save a life.
“Alright, wish me luck.” He says nervously, rubbing his hands together even as they shake lightly.
“Good luck, Mr. Arc. I hope you succeed.” Professor Ozpin calls out to everyone’s agreement.
Standing in front of the pod, Jaune takes a deep breath before holding her hand. He closes his eyes for a second before willing his Aura, his Semblance, to connect with the woman’s. He feels it immediately. Power. Power overwhelming just beneath her skin and yet….Jaune could feel it was torn in half.
He could see the damage now meaning-
Light suddenly fills the pod and then….

Maaan. Thanks for the comment hahaha. I enjoy thoughts and theories like this. I take cues on how to lead the plot from some comments like this but I've got Amber's fate written already and you'll see her condition immediately next chapter.

I'm exited for next chapter because it will give us a hint of Pyrrha's future in the long run. Will Jaune be able to heal Amber and allow her to have a rematch with Cinder, but now both having a half of the maiden's power so the playing field is even, or will the damage to her soul be enough that even with a healthy body and aura Amber couldn't wake up from her coma (since aura is the manifestation of the soul not the soul itself, technically you could have aura even with half your soul) and still have Pyrrha be the new half maiden, then we can go to she fight cinder and loses like in the show but barely lives by having a stronger Jaune fight along her, winning and is cinder who escapes with the help of the Wyvern. Or Pyrrha suffers the same fate as the show, I really don't believe will happen but is all on Mr. Light bringer how he wants to write his story which for all I know could be with him writing " fuck it with this depressing nonsense this is a romcom Cinder is now part of the polycule".
