Tullomer is tested (table update)
🕑 Added 2025-01-19 10:13:44 +0000 UTCHello, Tullomer test is finally finished. The updated table is attached to this post. Video will be public this afternoon (CET). Results are the average from test objects printed by 3 different sources, including Z-Polymers (manufacturer). Title is "Love it or Hate it", that's why I have this thumbnail. Is it good enough? Should I try to make it better? Unlisted video link is in the table or in playlists.

Hi Igor, I don't know if this was asked before, but having the street price of the filament at moment of testing would be useful.

Thank you for this useful Excel table. I always use the conditional color scale formatting for every column to easier compare the values by eye. Maybe this could already be activated in the Excel file or a second table could be added to the same file with conditional color formatting activated for an easier overview of the results.

Thanks Igor, for your continued testing. Currently this filament appears to be useful in a very specific situation. But if they can improve layer adhesion (and reduce the price) it may be more interesting.

For the costs of that stuff you can just have the parts machined. This steel comparison is a more apples to pineapples than apples to apples :) Also what do they mean by "steel"? AerMet 340 has a tensile strength of around 2300 MPa for example. Sorry for the rant. I just really hate it when companies make misleading or outright untrue claims to build mystic around rather mondain products. There are no truly unique engineering plastics, just different combos of fillers and blends that all are limited by the same space of compromises.

I'm excited to see....

I like the thumbnail, too.

50 um Tullomer fiber is stronger than same size steel, but that's not enough for 3D printed objects.

The thumb nail seems fine to me. A quick look at the data seems to show their claims are just hype. Also what is going on with the layer adhesion?

Thank you. I am not too good in this (but this attract views..)

Thumbnail looks good to me!
