Table update (Eryone 2x) + early access Sunlu Esthetic filaments video
🕑 Added 2024-10-30 16:52:23 +0000 UTCHello,
The Summary Table is updated (attached to this post). Eryone PETG and PETG-CF filaments are added. Also, I added a new column, the color. Only I will need some time to fill it.
Sunlu Esthetic filaments, I know that this is not the exact type of videos you like, but if you want, you can see it earlier. It will be public in 24 hours. The link to unlisted video: https://youtu.be/pvWap9vEoOk
What is in progress (and I can see the end): Tinmorry PLA-CF and PETG-CF. Panda Touch, new Sovol 3D printer. But beside this I have many more in progress, but I don't even see the end.
Have a nice day.
Igor

Wow. I guess you have a background in engenerding π€

I think any data would be an improvement on what's currently available. Even if you don't get data from new filaments, adding this data point to the ones already on the master spreadsheet would be greatly valuable

Hm, yes. I agree. Maybe I could make something similar to this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BaFnVBQWEZk&ab_channel=QualityControl But it wouldn't follow any standard, only it would be useful for comparisons between my testings.

Hi Igor, I very much appreciate your work. Regarding flexible filaments, I think it would be useful to consider including a measurement of Rubber Rebound Resilience Testing for this is described under DIN 53512, ISO 4662, ASTM D 1054 and ASTM D 7121. I've been considering developing some products using TPU and I've come to realise rebound is an important component in the performance of this products but existing rebound data on filaments is insufficient

Hi, I updated your spreadsheet to add a column for Bending Modules/Flexural Modules per ISO 178. I find it useful for comparing to other filament mfr datasheet that you have not tested. As ISO 178 requires that bending modulus be calculated based on a strain of 0.002, which corresponds to a deflection of 0.188mm in your test, I also added conditional formatting that will highlight bending modulus values where the deflection is within a reasonable range of 0.188mm. I found your results pretty closely match some datasheet values, for example Bambu PET-CF comes to ~4500 MPa per your tests, whereas their datasheet value is 5320. Your value of 7482 MPa vs Bambu's specified 9860 for PPA-CF. In the future, you could record the load at a deflection of 0.188mm (and after a full minute, because ISO178 specifics a very slow strain rate) Also, be mindful of infill directionality, as a 45/45 infill will result in a much lower bending modulus then a parallel infill (running lengthwise to the sample) like I am sure Bambu did to maximize their stiffness and strength values spreadsheet: https://1drv.ms/x/s!AuqwBZb5n5JqkaY39o4a7tf_Jvuvew?e=0vDnIb https://imgur.com/a/TuDQ4jm
