🕑 Added 2018-05-26 19:00:21 +0000 UTC This is something that crosses my mind pretty much every time I write a sex scene.Too long? The long sex scenes are written specifically to be very arousing, and many paragraphs are straight-up masturbation material.
Sometimes I think I may be overdoing it, or maybe writing too much sex, not enough story.
I was considering in the future, I keep the sex scenes the same length, but have slightly less of them. With MLV it was about 1 sex scene every 25K words. With Medusa it's about 1 sex scene every 20k. Perhaps in the future, when I get back to MLV, I should focus a little more on story and character development, and try for a sex scene every 30k?
Or do you guys want that I keep sex scenes regular? Or maybe *gasp* shorten them?

I think that you have a pretty good balance as you have been writing personally.

I think they’re good, and paced well enough the way they are. Remember: your readers know this is erotica. Regular sex scenes go with the territory; otherwise, you’re just writing a spicy book.
