Yes. Hydrochloric acid doesnt react with mercury so it just floats on it like the water did.

A good, informative video, reminiscent of youtube of old. I suggest a little note (just text in screen) "water dyed for visual purposes" otherwise you are going to get the naysayers saying it's something else. 😅. I love your information videos... so much better than all these "bang boom crash, flashing lights and colours" videos the other YT people are putting out these days.
