It’s something about these really short time loops in stories that end on a win-condition that are really fun.

“Too close to mind control on one axis, too close to Teluwat's skill on the other.” If he’s supposed to know what Teluwat has is a Talent by now, why is he calling it a skill?

I think that is something that will be expanded upon in the next chapter, but I suppose it might represent a failstate either through taking an incorrect path or exiting the area of the tear with its limited size and incomplete existence

Love the chapter! The ending is a bit confusing though; what did Ethan realize at the end? (Or is this intentionally a minor cliff hanger?). Describing the Tear as resetting suggests a loop of some sort, which suggests Ethan's realization is deeper than this a couple sentences later. This leaves ambiguous whether "loop" in the final sentence refers to the Tear reset or Hestia's loop. And I guess having a cliff hanger built on the inferential gap between the reader and the viewpoint character feels ... aesthetically off, to me? [I guess because I want to experience being Ethan while reading, and being reminded of the gap between myself and him breaks immersion.]. (One possible alteration is to describe the Tear as stuttering or shifting initially, and say they Ethan realizes the Tear resets rather than just shifting, instead of the slightly ambiguous "realize what's happening".). In any case, I'm excited to see what his plan is!
