I mean Vickie did mention that both Nathan and Megumi were special, and we know they're strong enough to take the mantle of leaders of the collective. Perhaps this is what she meant? Suppressing themselves to preserve what life Nathan has left? The sad part in this ep and ep 47 is that young Nathan doesn't have any suppression marks, so Amy looses herself again and the Mind Mage fails 😭
