I unironically agree that couples should value communication above all else in the relationship. So many issues can be solved with sitting down and not just speaking honestly, but LISTENING honestly to each other. "I saw this, it scared me, can you help me understand what it's about? What things can we each do to make the other feel safer?" Neither one of them trusted the other and it just exacerbated the whole situation when they could have just like, shown each other love.

I can definitely see the conundrum is this case but I felt like there were more actions than just thoughts. Stalking some of his potential victims, deleting the account, using the other site, etc.. It sounded like he was ramping up to something. Maybe even he wasn't aware. I wonder why if your fetish is affecting your marriage, you don't see you have a problem.

I find it so bizarre that someone can have sexual fantasies about torturing, raping, brutally murdering, and eating women and it’s regarded as a “kink”. Imagine if this case was about sexual fantasies about children, where people used a social networking site to discuss their fantasies and post pictures of children they knew for others to comment on. I wonder if it would still be considered “kink shaming” then? It’s a very interesting double standard we hold in society. This case was fascinating from that perspective.
