For sure. She figured out that smushy feelings seem to attract them, but she has no idea how to be smushy herself. So maybe intimidate them? No, no, that didn't work. Stoopid fish.

I like that Duane sort of makes the same point that occurred to Sette back on page 22 - the forceful, violent approach isn't likely to work with the squishes. But it's basically all she's known so it's what she naturally defaults to.
