Early Video: Token Ring on IBM PS/2

Token Ring is fascinating, but it sure does make me thankful for Ethernet.

Note that you could have a 'Primary' and 'Secondary' adapter even set to different rates on two networks - but we will eventually get you on a Madge Deskstream switch that is able to have the two different rates on the same subnet.

At 37:15, select "Change Configuration" to set the 16Mbps rate - It defaults to 4Mbps because of the earlier standard (like a 16/4 adapter would be used to be connected to an existing 4Mbps network).
