What's cooking?

Here I want to have fun with the rust effects, faded paint, my first work with a railroad scenery, and most importantly, all those small weeds growing around it. I even bought some animals to accompany it, so I can't wait to crack the kit open! It'll most likely sit on a circular base, just like the rusty VW Beetle :)

Great! Looking forward to seeing that - I recently did a Warhammer Spartan Assault Vehicle using the methods you used on the WW1 tank. Pleased with the results - thanks for the inspiration. Warhammer 'lore' mentions the vehicle you are doing are 'ancient tech' and can be possessed/haunted. Interested to see if you will spin that in to the visual story. Although not sure how anyone could do that :-)

That is...not what I expected when you said "locomotive". My complements, you found the perfect project for maximizing the rust/weight ratio! And weeds! And animals! If this goes well, maybe you can do an actual big old load-pulling locomotive so you can go wild with caked-on grease and oil deposits...

Looking forward to seeing this one. Just got the kit not too long ago

Looks like a real right -down-the-wheelhouse project. Looking forward to it, and then to imitate parts of it in a rather deplorable manner! ๐ฅด

I'd say it's coming right after this one, it's in my stash of 5 upcoming "refreshing builds" :)

Haha, there will be enough sheeps on the shunter :D The animals are mostly pigeons, rats, and a cat in a dumpster

Perfect Nightshift diet (chips with everything!). Please tell me the animals are sheep(s)? Can't wait to see how this turns out.

As I was working on the Saipan scene, my eye caught one specific ground texture that's absolutely spot-on for the rail ballast!

So much rust! This is going to be fun, much like the VW project.

I was just looking at a picture of a neglected and rusty ALCO C-420 when this came up, I'm excited to see what you create! P.S. also curious to see how you may possibly add debris, replaced damaged ties long forgotten telegraph poles with a few surviving glass insulators along the sides if you use them.๐
