You're right, I didn't use any varnishes on this model :) I mention it briefly that the thin white coat on top of the chipping goes down easily, so there's no need to seal the previous layer, and then how the slight sheen of the residual chipping fluid is easily covered up with the airbrushed rust tones.

Factory fresh tank is in my bucket list for this year. So fresh it still has oxide primer and chalk marks on it :)

Awesome video Martin. A question… you don’t mention any varnish coats during the acrylic and then enamel stages of the rust work. Did you do these various stages without any interim varnishes? BTW, this has got to be your best rust effects video so far - and that’s saying something 😎👍

the grass looks really good in this diorama, you should definitely use this method from now on, see how well it contrasts with a tank. also, if you get bored of the "well used tank with stowage and figures" have you thought about making a fresh out the factory tank? like a panzer at the beginning of the battle of france?
