For the question you posed at the end. I made a friend online almost 8 years ago. We have met up a couple times. We live 1000 miles apart right now. I'm in Kentucky and she is in Colorado. I have been sort of stuck where I'm at. She is helping me move over to where she is in Colorado. I think it's gonna be a change for the better.

Starlight's backstory hits me hard. I have lost a lot of friends due to circumstances I could and/or could not control. It sucks. I can totally see how losing a friend could break someone.

Every villain had a returning cameo this episode, so it was only absolutely necessary for it to end with the ladybug coming back.

Twilight actually cannot stop Starlight. She's about as strong as Twilight was before becoming an alicorn, and she's positioned herself very well. Because the slightest disturbance stops the race, if Twilight fights Starlight, she loses and the loop starts over.

That line of Twilights about 'all the friends waiting for you out there', or however it went, hits very different coming back to it after seeing how the rest of the series turns out. Now I know *exactly* who she will go on to befriend, while at the time this came out, knowing nothing, I could perfectly understand her fear that it would never happen, because no-one knew her future... plus, with that ending, the small fear that the series would end here with no warning, because that cast overview felt so much like a finale there. xD
