Also, it could just be my phone but I could clearly hear you guys but the sound from the episode was really quiet for me. I had my headphones turned up all the way and it sounded like the episode was in the lowest sound setting.

The building is St Louis’s Cathedral, its right outside Jackson Square. Beautiful Catholic Church, I was there last Saturday. I also got to see Louis and Lestat’s house in the French Quarter. It’s called the Gaulier house. It’s all wonderful.

I agree and I think the series is doing a fantastic job of exploring exactly that multifaceted story of the characters. Yet, I feel that those that have read the books know why Lestat is hunting Louis, and why the topic of religion becomes so relevant regarding his brother. Lestat is craving the new world of this man of his time. Anyway, I loved Louis in the books but this Lestat is something else… Sam Reid makes him such a sinuously appealing predator.. that can I only say, Bravo 👏

I’m so pumped for this! Great first reaction. For DarkWave: don’t worry too much about ‘knowing what to say,’ most of us who watch IWTV reactions truly just enjoy reliving the first watch vicariously through you. MovieMan likes to go deep on theories and analysis, but you really don’t have to, and you can say your first thought in the moment and still change it later! And honestly, just watching this first one, your gut reactions are pretty good, even when you doubt them. No need to stress or force anything, and we don’t need you to react or analyze exactly like MovieMan does—especially since we get his second thoughts at the end. Truly, we’re just happy to see a new potential fan experience the show for the first time. So just have fun with it!

I'm loving this reaction! It's probably super helpful that you're able to mentioned those small pieces of detail that are easily missed on the first watch through. Some interesting commentary too, between you both, keep up the great work :) You know what, the loss of the video didn't detract from this, if anything it was rather hilarious as a voice over, reminds me of some quite amusing crack videos I've seen in the past.

I think it's interesting to look back on Lestat turning Louis after knowing how Lestat was turned against his will. He gave Louis that choice. I do, however, feel Louis was in a vulnerable emotional and psychological place. Listen, I love Lestat more than anything, but you are NOT wrong that it is predatory behavior. I mean, come on, vampires are predators by nature, are they not? I'm sorry people gave you shit about that. There are many many layers to this -- yes, there is attraction, love, desire, loneliness, etc., but Lestat stays in New Orleans, admittedly, for Louis. He plans to "hunt" him, hoping to turn him and find a companion. That loneliness needs to be pushed away at all costs. I do think Lestat does love Louis and vice versa, but nothing nothing nothing about this is black & white. Thank you for adding your comments at the end. I think I'll really look forward to that the most because I know on multiple views, I had so many new realizations and observations.
