You guys didn't talk about the Paulithicus. Sad. Also, can't wait to see the sea-creature episode.

If you want to play a videogame with some of these biggies check out Far Cry Primal. It's from stone age Slovakia. Or visit Slovakia yourself... not much has changed there since stone age.

In the diprotodon segment the other animals in the Australian museum piece where the giant monitor lizard Megalania (Varanus priscus) which current estimates place it at 18ft long, although this might change with future research. The other mammal in the foreground is the marsupial lion (Thylacoleo carnifex) which is in the same group of marsupials as koalas and kangaroos. The Kangaroo in the background is probably the giant short faced kangaroo (Procoptodon) the largest species would stand about 8ft 10in. All of these animals Man would have encountered, which is fucking awesome.

You wanna get REAL scared think about this: Humans are the only lifeform to struggle with thee uncanny valley effect. It is something inherent in our very genes. Which means that at some time during our evolution/history our survival depended on knowing the difference between US and creatures that were ALMOST IDENTICAL to us in every way yet....slightly and eerily.. OFF.

Paul if by chance you read this. I have a idea for a movie. Long story short, a bunch of people get transported to a land of the lost type realm and cutting to the chase....one of them gets raped by a giant sloth. Think of it, so massive, yet so slow, thus more brutal. I'd also like to offer this role to you Paul. I feel you have the acting ability to pull it off

They bring up Gigantopithecus, show one chasing a tiger, and never once bring up Christopher walken, for shame.
