I feel like if a heat partner doesn’t have to be romantic or whatnot. And motoyas heats have always been intense that maybe a family member would help him out. Cause that’s like close and trust worthy. And I think motoya was a true virgin given the way first knot played out, so I don’t think he’d have any romantic or involved heat partners. I think the best way to get best of both worlds (single Pringle Toya and jealous Osamu) is if Motoya had one but it was completely platonic and non-sexual. I like both ideas - I once read a fic where omegas wanted their kids or siblings or parents _or_ partners around them during heats because it was more of a comfort/family thing and the whole thing was really well executed, so I enjoy less "traditional" heat/rut arrangements such as with a platonic partner - but I feel like with everything we know about Motoya's backstory, it makes more sense for him to always have dealt with his heats alone. He was *so* depressed and felt *so* alone and *so* undesirable that I think it would clash a little with having had a heat partner, even a friendly or familial one.
