A little reset pause
🕑 Added 2025-01-22 13:51:44 +0000 UTCA little reset pause in the river. For me doing this (dipping all year around in cold water) is so normal that I still find it strange when people are shocked when they discover that I do it. Then I reflect on when I started I can emphasise again.
The power of routines, and the beauty of going through something challenging that then becomes natural, and essential.
Have you got any practice/routine that you can relate to?

Beautiful to read that you treat your morning routine with such care and priority, no matter what your routine is, and being in flow with what you're draw to focus on. Great to share that precious time with more-than-human ones too 🤗

Hi, routines are important, especially the ones that benefit you. I used to run in the mornings, virtually every morning, I don’t run any more and have felt everyday that something good needs to replace it. I need to establish routines for myself that I don’t let the world or circumstances interfere with. One routine I have now in the morning is getting up early, feeding our pets and tending to them, then sitting down with a cup of coffee and enjoy the quiet before the noise of the day kicks in. That is usually about an hour of time.
