Droplet Carrier

Sometimes it's fun to make it obvious that you have 3D printed stuff hanging around, possibly literally. This industrial-looking fellow really is a handy carrying case for small things, but it's also an excuse to carry around something printed and eye-catching.
Let's look at some of the design features of this thing. First and foremost, the larger part that has the lanyard hole in it is actually the lid of this container. That's right, the sprocket-ish looking smaller part is the body. This lets the contents be removed reliably without having to undo the outer part if it happens to be tied to something. This also makes the whole thing much less vulnerable to coming open accidentally, since the entire thing would have to unscrew in order for the two halves to come apart.
It's all pretty thick-walled, too, for robustness!
Now, you'll see that this is relatively small, but it should scale up pretty easily, since threaded connections can take up any extra gaps introduced.
Printing Tips
This is an easy print! No supports needed of course, and the tolerance between the thread parts is quite generous. The parts print outside-down, like this:

About this time last year I was hiking with printed cord tensioners, which turned out super useful, and I'm hoping this will turn out to be just as practical. Wow, that was a year ago already! Anyway, back to the hiking for me! :)

Got this guy printed! Really like the look and feel. This might be my new meds carrier. It's a bit bigger than my current container but this one is way cooler.
These can be used to stored the wired earbuds on hikes with a carbiner !! Yay !
