Vito nailed it with sleep deprivation. We are in the early years of parenting, and how hellish the experience is largely depends on how well the kids sleep. I have seen marriages fall apart over it. Some parents with bad sleepers will bring their kids into bed with them, in a desperate attempt to keep the kids from waking them up all through the night. Then they wonder why they have a dead bedroom...
