The Draw Steel Director's Screen
🕑 Added 2025-02-12 18:05:55 +0000 UTCHey folks! James here! I'm getting ready to work on the Draw Steel Director's Screen (the thing that a Director uses to hide their notes from players). I was thinking about what should go on the back of it and then I realized that there's a whole bunch of you folks here who have played the game and might have opinions about that. So we figured we'd ask! Here's a survey:

We have our own ideas about including stuff like conditions, rules for generating Malice, test difficulties, and such, but there's a fair amount of space and we want to be sure you're getting what you need back there! So please go ahead and fill it out. The survey closes on 2/24 at 6AM Pacific US time.
Thanks!

Would love an update to this! I'm getting set up to start running one or two games, and I love me a good screen

More like left to right. So if you had 4 panels, the furthest left would be very surface level, then they'd get deeper and more niche as you go, panel by panel left to right.

Ah, so like, simple rules for new Directors on one side, and info for more advanced directors on the other?
Tom Flynn
I'd definitely like to see a gradient of complexity across the screen, so that as you start memorising more and more of the system through play, it's easier to start bull-clipping your notes to it when you don't need to know how basic rolls work, etc

Thank you.
Dragons everywhere, man
It would surely be available to everyone, but the Ajax edition would have it's own art, I guess

I can’t remember. Was the directors screen available for everyone or just the Ajax edition?

Awesome, Directors Screen is something I'm dying for. Can't wait to see what the team cooks up
