THREE STORIES: The Most Mysterious Children in History
🕑 Added 2022-08-17 23:20:12 +0000 UTCIn 12th century England, two children were found lost in a forest. They spoke only gibberish, wore strange clothing and had bright green skin. When the children finally learned to speak English, they described where they were from. And that's why, after almost 1,000 years, people still talk about The Green Children of Woolpit.
In 1828, a teenage boy was shuffling through a public square in Nuremburg. He seemed confused and disoriented. He had trouble walking and speaking. When police finally approached him, he was holding an envelope containing two letters. And those letters sparked the mystery of Kaspar Hauser.
In April 1922, in Brittany, France, 2-year-old Pauline Picard went missing. A massive search turned up nothing. The family was losing hope.
A month later, Pauline was found wandering around a village over 200 miles away. Though her parents were overjoyed to have her back, they soon realized something wasn't quite right with their daughter.
These are three unsolved cases of the most mysterious children in history.

I worked at a daycare for two years, in the toddler room, lol, and this lil kid had orange hair even, but I don't think that has much to do with what I observed (👀 I don't think, unless his parents only ate orange food before he was conceived or whatever) but they brought their lunch. They were 18 months. - 2.5 years old. He ONLY brought orange food. He was Caucasian (and had strawberry blonde hair). He would bring little orange cups, carrots, squash, gold fish, anything you can think of that's packable in a lunch box. Even orange juice. His skin tone was literally pale orange (he was a pale kid- or would have been). Thee other teacher & myself was like ??? This kid is orange. We chalked it up to his diet.

I have a theory about the first two stories. In the first story, the children were pretty young so they may have been abandoned and left for dead, but they learned to eat green beans and survived on that. Eating too many carrots turns your skin orange. they probably ate too many green beans.

OOFA, as Hecklefish said. I can't imagine the range of emotions the parents were going through. They lose their child, then they think they have her back, then find out it's not her and then send her off to an orphanage only to have that child die of measles within weeks, knowing she probably lives if they had kept her. I wonder if they even knew that last part? It's easy for me to say but I probably would have adopted the second girl, assuming she was abandoned, figuring fate had brought us all together. I don't believe I could send the poor child off to an orphanage.
