Hi all,
The June updates marks the seventh month that Carnal Instinct has been available to Patrons, and how it has changed since November 2020! In this short time we've expanded and overhauled so many systems and assets that the world is a far cry from that initial release. This update is the next step in the consistent and wide-ranging improvements we've been making to the game and, as we work towards the implementation of males later this month, the inventory and equipment system was squarely in our sights. It was a massive undertaking, and we didn't know how much we'd be able to include in a single update, but here's the 'Surprise Bonus' we mentioned on the roadmap...
For too long you've been forced to go nude whenever playing as an Anthro character - that restriction ends today; in our first major step in upgrading the equipment system you can now combine any skin-tight garment with any body cosmetic. Blue Draconid in white wraps? Sorted. Calico Felian in a silver bikini? Go right ahead. There are now over 200 combinations of body cosmetics with which to fine-tune your avatar's.
Whilst this inventory itself is only temporary, as we're still in the process of overhauling the backend, we did think that some of the icons needed some clarification. To this end we've created new icons for all cosmetics, including a symbol to distinguish them from the forms. Eagle-eyed players will notice there are a few new options here too, with new Pale and Feral Felian skins now joining the line-up of cosmetics.
Additionally we felt that gating human skin tones with cosmetics was reductive, so now you can choose the race of your human skin in the menu. As with many things in the world of Carnal Instinct, some are drawn from our world (Nubian) whilst others are entirely of Kethra's domain (Lybossan). There are 5 skin-only ethnicities currently available, though there are alternate heads in-development to ensure that players have the freedom to shape their ideal character.
In addition to the multitude of new customisation content there are countless adjustments to the detail of the world from additional idle animations that breathe life into the characters and foliage that bends and shifts as you walk through it, to alterative variants of the Cursed Ones and all new enemies such as the Crocodile. We're always pushing the visual fidelity and the overall quality, with this update being no exception.
Finally we've made some minor optimisations to the world itself, as well slightly expanding a few areas. It's important to us that every build of the game looks great and plays well. As for what's next, the Ascended update at the end of June will bring with it Male Humans, new zones, the 'Ultimatus' genital option, and much more besides.
Keep an eye out for two Patron-only votes that'll drop in the next week or two - these will define some of the starting unlocks for the camp when it goes live in July.

- Fixed "Secret Admirers" order of operations, you can now complete the quest in any order
- Fixed a problem with tracked quests overlapping each other on the game HUD
- Fixed a quest tracking error for "Diamond in the Rough" after completing "Tales of the Void"
- Updated the in-game Main Menu to include the Character Screen
- Updated various systems to be more optimised
- Updated terrain heightmap to be more optimised

First I had the same problem my self. After reading these comments I made an exception with my Antivirus program (AVG) and after that I didnt had any issues with the download.

I've already been running it as admin. The only antivirus I've been using is the one that comes with Windows. I've already tried running it with that and the firewall off, and it's still not downloading.

im having the same issue
i could download the game (7z file), the launcher extracted it but then nothing happened. I killed the launcher, re-extracted the 7z-file and started the game but it says that it does not recognize me as patreon. What can I do?

haven't seen that before, perhaps you have a firewall or anti-virus thats blocking the patreon popup when you try to login through the launcher?

Just updated to the new version which loaded my old save and now all my cosmetic items are now white boxes in both the inventory and the store

Can somebody help me. I have installed the launcher and the game. But when I try to enter to play he tells me that he puts a message of "warning we have been can't dectect you patreon ect. How can I solve it?

For the last 2 updates, the launcher will get to 4% and stop. Never any further. Followed your guide on launcher install. No help whatsoever. No antivirus, ran as admin, but I won't pay for a VPN just to download a game that I've supported with over $100 guaranteed money. Is there a fix for this or what?

Hi Indrick, We're sorry you're unhappy with the state of the game but honestly no, not really. We're five people and whilst we do run through content, often last minute fixes can add bugs in previously stable content and/or the samples we test do not reveal issues. Some of the issues here were as a result of an engine change that broke some content but left other content (featuring identical code) intact. We test a randomised sample of content and, after all-night sessions to get the hundreds of new cosmetics in, we didn't have the time to run through all of the scenes and push the game. It happens that our sample tests didn't touch the bugged content, but if you're really unhappy I'd recommend waiting 24 hours from release in future - we always hotfix repeatedly in this window and make changes based on community bug-reports. We're very upfront that this is currently a pre-alpha product, it states as much in the logo itself. Hopefully you'll manage to enjoy the content now that the hotfix is out. Team Carnal Instinct

The game is now running beautifully from the launcher, but I am also seeing this glitch that causes a black screen except for the HUD after sex scenes.

Black screen after sex events, head disappears every now and then after reload, Ritual Vessel makes my head disappear as well, doesn't trigger the quest stage completion. Kind of a buggy mess, really. I mean playing through the whole thing takes all of like 1 hour. Surely you guys are able to play-test this, no?
Hi, I need help. When I pick up the Ritual Vessel, the dragon shape does not come out and the head disappears.
Is it possible to transfer my old saves to the new launcher? i have the folder for save games but dont see where it should go
