I'll be interested in seeing how you handle the bombings. It is, in my experience, one of the few issues where BS arguments on the left even remotely approch the order of magnitude of the BS flowing in from the right, so it will be interesting to see how (or if) you walk that tightrope.

This will be a great video for Americans like me. Our self understanding should be based on the truth. In this time of wider discussions of abolition of the Police depts in our cities and towns and of the US Mil, I go back and forth. Some things, getting rid of the songs flags and uniforms most of the lethal weaponry, I think would be unqualified goods. Cutting the budgets 30-50% with the understanding that it will go much lower in the future as needed, good. I wonder though how much of the problem is inside of all of us from living in this silly place and will be with us in a diminished way even if we dissolve the political/social/economic institutions entirely, the name America, the stars and stripes, etc and start over regionally or whatever people want, each institution from scratch based on truth and justice. I want to do that sometimes reading history and listening to my compatriots today. But Marxism as I understand it was at least in part a popularization of materialism. I think I'm more of a Spinozist but none of that stuff ultimately matters. Names and ideas are combinations of sounds that would mean the same thing if they referred to the same things like how we are able to translate books written in one language into another. At any rate materialism to me means not worrying so much about songs and flags and focusing on what we are actually doing and it's lived out impact on ourselves and others. I think getting history revised or understood for the first time is a big big part of shifting what America means to people from a commercial for the marines or even the NFL game to be more on the biggest ways we have ever directly impacted other people and what those actions say about who we were then. Thank you for your forthcoming video and for all of your work.
