here's May's batch of tier list vids. this brings us to the end of Part 1! we have officially re-reviewed adventuregamers.com's Top 20 All-Time Adventure Games. Phase 2 has begun over on Nebula, as we start reviewing all their GOTY winners from 2013-2023. Phase 2 is gonna have rather a lot of guest reviewers, as there were many games I hadn't played yet and, when we put out feelers for guests, we got a surprising number of responses! I do enjoy that the structure of this series means that, when we hit Phase 3, it'll just be me singing the praises of all the all-timer favs that AG criminally ignored.
anyway, today's batch is a game I loathe, a game I think is bad but kinda enjoy, a game I love despite its flaws, and a game that is great despite its flaws.
writing, narration, and (most) graphics by me, (most) editing by Willow.

The best thing I can say about Broken Sword is that whenever people praise it, I always spend at least a few moments thinking they're talking about Broken Age, a game that I thoroughly enjoyed the first half of.

Doing the Homer Simpson "ooh, that's good!/ooh, that's bad..." for the entirety of the beast within review

Never played Broken Sword and thankfully I never will because my first exposure to it was the vomit-inducing AI-upscaled backgrounds

Broken Sword: THANK. YOU. Honestly, I never finished it. I have NEVER understood WTF everyone has been raving about all these years. Smh.

Portals lack of listed rank completely threw off my running tally (I think it's 38 points after Grim Fandango?), but this whole series is a lot of fun

Now I wanna go play the last two again.
