I will not leave you without a solution to launch on iOS. I am currently finding solution, asking other developers. I wish I had an iPhone, so the process would be faster and more reliable.

as far as i can find (google and app store) there isn’t an easy way to launch this game on ios

You may not see the file if you haven't unpacked the .zip file. You can use iZip for this

Yes, you need the app to open .html file in the browser. Any application will do, for example Joiplay

i opened the zip file on mobile but i dont see any files aside from png and folders. i’m pretty sure i’m doing this wrong, but i’m not sure if i need a special app to open it properly

Unzip game and open Family business.html file. If media not loading, try use different browser. For that open any other browser and drug .html file to a new tab.
