State of the Patreon, December 2015

Onto to business.
1st - The normal monthly fluctuation of Troll pledges and the such have been purged from my patreon so the current 852 amount is more accurate than the 966 it was last week. For those who don't know there was a Troll pledger that was pledging to over 200 artists from amounts ranging from 99$ to 10$.
Patreon seems to have removed them and all is well, for now.
2nd - I have reset the password to the Patreon Blog and have sent out the new passwords to all the patrons who pledges cleared. If you did not get one but feel you should have please message me.
3rd - Some Patrons have mentioned how they feel there is no difference between the 1$ to 15$ patron tiers. Technically the difference is the amount of votes you get, but the problem with that is that no one has really been using their votes.
Some have suggested I add things to the 5$ and 15$ patron levels and others have suggested I remove certain things from the 1$ amounts. I'd rather add than remove anything from any of the tiers.

4th - I looked up the poll results and it seems you guys REALLY want more Vault 808 patreon streams. This next stream will have the Vault 808 theme but the next one might have a different theme just to mix it up. After that I will probably have another 808 patreon stream.

The polls are not binding since they're anonymized. He can't count up the donation tier of each patron.

EA is a huge company with lobbyists. I am just one artists and patreon might have issue with it.

As for the 808 theme, that was a poll and not a vote. You are right that people did overwhelmingly want the 808 theme to continue for a long time, but enough people also stated voted that they would not want it to last that long. So I compromised. 808 streams wont be going away any time soon but a break from the theme won't hurt them.

I understand your frustration, and just went back and looked at all of the patreon stream announcement comments to see how many times patrons used their points to vote for an idea. The total is 3 times. But you have a point regarding their effectiveness. Out of the three times people voted only one was chosen to be the patreon, that was the first one, and coincidentally you are the one that put your votes behind the winning idea.

No-one has been using their votes cause votes never matter. You consistently ignore what people vote for, instead going with what you want to do. Hell, there's an example right in your message. A clear majority of people asked that 808 continue until March uninterrupted. You are ignoring that and doing a non 808 character come January.

Hard to chose between more streams and more work in general... Also, feel free to bring back the raffle, if EA can get away with MASSIVE online gambling for digital rewards in all of their crappy games, so can you.
