i’m not a fan of cracker barrel’s rebranding. i’m from the south, also black, and i think most southerners generally don’t like change. tradition is big down here, of course.🙄 (racist love to pull the tradition shit) even though cracker barrel gives the vibe that their patrons are likely racist, it’s unique and cozy. cracker barrel feels like an old southern home. dim warm lighting, full of wood, the rocking chairs out front, the shop, all feel so southern. the new logo is stupid. it looks like golden corral’s logo. i don’t think the change has anything to do with “woke.” it’s just trying to modernize it to minimalist millennial grey bullshit. that style is outdated and the rebranding is stupid.

These companies have managed to instill just enough ambiguity over the decades of their existence to allow white people to push back against the wokes because they're getting worked up over imagery inspired by smilin ass black folk making them delicious food.

I visited this HUGE mental asylum that my dad went to rehab at. He told me about the tunnels they would take in the winter to access the main building. You couldn't enter it and im not spiritual/im skeptical but it had such an intense uneasy/sad vibe but it was also peaceful and beautiful since it was no longer in use. eerily enough the bldgs in front where they used to house rehab patients were now seemingly apartments that were being rented out, mind you these bldgs are like only 100 ft in front of this foreboding abandoned asylum 😵‍💫
