In the first FMA adaption Ed and Al take down Barry while he's still a human. So it was a pretty interesting way to handle them meeting again. Tucker also lived and turned himself into a Chimera. Not within line of the actual manga, but some interesting ideas honestly.

This show gives me the same feeling of mystery as Attack on Titan. It keeps feeding you small nuggets of information to help you uncover the plot, and you cant help but keep watching to find out if your theories are correct or not.
