Excited for the end of S1 <3 The last episode is written so well, and the character development, or perhaps our view of Askeladd and his relationship with Thorfinn is so intriguing!

btw the crossbows weren't widely used by the Saxons & Anglos at this point in history, it was the Franks (French) who we saw earlier this season use them
