Maybe if America took a lesson from this week’s movie, ENEMY MINE, things would be better. Even though it might be prescient, this movie still sucks in all the best ways: chintzy but great effects, glaring but forgivable plot-holes, ridiculous but committed performances and another appearance from Gabrus’ dad! Oh and don’t accuse the Boyz of being fat and lazy you fucking jerks, they might be pregnant.

By the way Hell in the Pacific is absolutely not in black and white. It’s in phenomenal color cinemascope shot by legendary DP Conrad Hall. Jordan Cronenweth (future dp of blade runner) operating camera. Get your shit together Stanger/Rogers/Whoever brought it up.

Hey how come they say the Earth is long forgotten but Davidge knows so much about Mickey Mouse and says he coined the phrase "try try again" which he didn't? Most unbelievable part of the movie for me
