I am currently developing a new app called "Shoost".
With this app, I want to easily create pictures with a nice atmosphere! I want to make my characters look beautiful! I started developing this app because I wanted to make it easy to create a nice atmosphere!

I designed it to make it easy to create screen effects using three layers.
Features
Menu
Move the cursor to the side of the UI and click to turn the menu on or off.
Screen Effect
You can add screen effects similar to those used in cartoons. We currently have three: Normal is a general screen effect, Diffusion is a diffused light atmosphere, and Glow is a process that makes bright areas glow.
Screen Filters
Add filter effects to the screen. Currently, there are three filters available: CRT-style filter, video-style filter, and film-style filter.
Screen Shake
Screen shake effect, like camera shake. Vibration shaking is also available, but will be used more effectively in the future.
Camera zoom
Use the camera to zoom.
Object placement
Objects in each layer can be moved, enlarged, and reduced.
Chroma-Keying
You can select any color to create a chroma key composite, and adjust the range using the Hue Range, Saturation Range, and Brightness Range. Adjust the Hue Range, Saturation Range, and Brightness Range.
Background Blur
You can add blur to the background layer (Layer3) image.
Auto Color
Automatically corrects the color of Layer1 and Layer2 according to the background (Layer3).
Window Capture
Allows you to capture and display any window. Enter the name of the title to capture and use it.
Import items
You can import images and videos. The file formats are png, jpg, mp4.
Examples
You can add a screen effect by placing people or objects in the foreground to create a nice atmosphere.
The Glow screen effect works best when used on a background with luminous objects. If the light is too strong, adjust the exposure by lowering the exposure.
The Diffusio screen effect diffuses the light and gives a slightly blurred impression compared to Normal. It is effective in settings such as an evening scene.
Since it can load video, it is also good to use it to place material shot with a green background.
Feature added in v0.1.6.
Undo and Redo
Ctrl + Z for Undo; Ctrl + Shift + Z or Ctrl + Y for Redo.
Not all of them are supported yet, but I've added them so that you can use them for now.
Brightness adjustment
It seemed that the characters were sometimes too dark depending on the background, so we added a function to brighten them up.
Feature added in v0.2.0.
Rim Light
This function adds the expression of light going around contours. It is effective when used in dark or backlit scenes.
The UI design has also been changed in v0.2.0. You can now switch categories from the tabs at the top.
Sharpness
Added sharpness function. It can make the image clearer.
Feature added in v0.2.1.
Spout function
The Spout function is supported by checking the "Spout Capture" checkbox in the Settings category. With this function, you can output to OBS without displaying the UI or import videos without using the Window Capture function.
To output with OBS, a plug-in must be added to the OBS side as well. Link → OBS Plugin
The Spout function can also be used to load videos with alpha. Kejiro has created a script to use the Spout function from Unity, so you can also output from Unity using this script. (Kejiro is a god.) Link→ KlakSpout
With Spout support, capturing from VseeFace is now possible.
Feature added in v0.3.0.
Flare function
Added light expression as used in Anime. The direction and intensity of the light source can be changed to suit the scene. The color of the light changes automatically, but you can also change it to any color you like.
We are preparing to release this app to the public so that anyone can use it.
However, it will still take some time to adjust and create, so we would like to make it available to our supporters first!
Feature added in v0.4.0.
NDI support
NDI support and support for loading GIF format images.
- Added a Blend value.
The original color was too much lost in dark scenes such as at night, so a Blend value was added so that AutoColor can be adjusted.
- Added Contrast value.
When flare is increased, the overall image tends to become whitish, so a Contrast value was added to give the image a more vivid look.
- Added ColorFilter.
A ColorFilter was added to make it easier to match colors across the entire screen. This is useful for adjusting the overall color of evening and night scenes.
Feature added in v0.5.0.
Save & Load Function
You can save and load a project.
[ New... ] - Create a new project. Use this function when you want to return to the initial state.
[ Open... ] - Open a file.
[ Save... ] - Save the file.
[ Save As...] - Saves the file with a name.
[Quit - Quits the application.
Feature added in v0.6.0.
Recording function
Video recording and screenshot functions will be added.
When you select a resolution and output destination and start recording, a video will be created in the specified folder. Screenshots will be created in the same folder with the name with the date added.
Pan Follow
This function allows the camera to follow the character (Layer 2). (This is pseudo camera tracking.)
The camera does not trace the character's movements exactly, but makes it look like it is following the character by calculation. Depending on the shape of the character, it may not move correctly.
Feature added in v0.7.0.
Weather Effects Function
Three types of weather effects are available. Color, amount generated, and transparency can be adjusted.
Particle Effect Function.
Nine types of particle effects are available. Color, amount generated, and transparency can be adjusted.
LED panel function.
Displays an LED panel in the background. Pixel size, brightness, and camera position can be adjusted.
Flare Rays Function.
Three types of flare rays are available. The size and amount of light generated can be changed. The color and angle are linked to the flare.
Outline function.
This function adds outlines to the character. There are three types of outline quality. The high the quality, the higher the GPU load, but the cleaner the outlines.
Camera flash function.
The camera creates an atmosphere as if it is taking a flash picture. The speed of the camera flash can be changed.
UI design changes and adjustments.
The UI design has been changed to accommodate more effect items.
- Items can now be grouped together.
- Effects can now be added by selection.
Feature added in v0.8.0.
Automatic Camera Switching Function.
The camera automatically switches to various camera work according to the number of seconds and beat.
There are three types of camera switching.
- Cut Switching.
- Blend Switching.
- Mixed switching between cut and blend.
The camera switching timing can be selected from three types: Seconds, BPM, and Audio.
Audio measures the BPM of the sound played on Windows to determine the switching timing. (It does not obtain the exact BPM.)
Feature added in v0.9.0.
Change Screen Resolution Function.
The resolution in Shost can now be changed in the "Canvas Resolution" section.
Feature added in v0.10.0.
Added Layer Effect feature.
Effects can now be applied to any layer.
Added Blending mode.
A blending mode has been added. By "adding" black background videos over each other, it is easy to create smoke-like expressions.
Added opacity and rotation functions.
In addition to adjusting layer opacity and moving and scale layers, rotation operations are now available.
Added an adjustment function to Screen Effects.
The intensity of the Screen Effects can now be controlled.
Flare adjustment.
In addition to Intensity, the size can now be changed. The color tone effect of the flare has also been adjusted. You can now feel the "light" more than before.
Feature added in v0.11.0.
Add layers.
Layers can now be added. The number of layers that can be added is limited to 10.
Added video control function.
You can now control videos. It is now possible to synchronize the stop and playback of all the videos.
Added transparent background output.
You can capture with a transparent background when you do game capture or Spout2 with OBS or other software. You can also change the background color to your preference.
Feature added in v0.12.0.
Added Glow Feature.
Now you can make selected layers glow. You can also choose "Glow Select Colors" to make only specific colors glow. There are three types of glow: "Normal," "Streak," and "Star."
Added Crop Feature.
You can now crop images.
Added Select Colors Feature.
This feature allows you to keep only selected colors in a part of your image. You can not only retain colors but also invert them.
Added Guide Feature.
You can now display guides based on the rule of thirds and safe areas.
Added Layer Order Reordering Feature.
You can now freely change the order of the layers.
Added Layer Visibility Toggle Feature.
You can now toggle layers' visibility on and off.
Feature added in v0.13.0.
Addition of Edit Camera Feature
You can now edit camera angles in the Camera Switcher. In Manual Camera mode, selecting Edit Camera allows you to adjust the camera angle.
Moving Type: You can select how the camera moves. Choose from three types: camera Position movement, camera viewpoint movement, and canvas movement.
Type: You can choose either a fixed camera or a moving camera.
Select Camera: By selecting camera mark A or B and clicking on the screen, you can operate the camera.
Moving Speed: You can adjust the speed of camera movement from A to B.
Hotkey: By specifying a key, you can switch cameras according to the specified key input.
Blend Speed: You can now adjust the blending speed of the camera.
Expansion of Camera Functions
Anchor Point: You can now select an anchor point. This allows you to zoom towards a specified point rather than the center of the screen.
Zoom Smooth: You can smoothly adjust the zooming speed.
Auto Background Blur: When you check this option, the image specified in Layer1 [Background] will automatically blur according to the zoom.

- A feature that expresses images in mosaic-like square pixels.
《 Frame Rate Limit 》
- A feature that limits frames per second.
《 Turbulent Displace 》
- A feature that generates fluid-like distortion and wave effects.
《 Lens Distortion 》
- A feature that adds fisheye lens-like visual effects.
《 White Balance 》
- A feature for adjusting color temperature.
《 Levels 》
- A level correction feature for adjusting brightness and contrast.
《 Layer Flip 》
- A feature that enables horizontal and vertical flipping of layers
《 Channel Switch 》
- A feature to toggle RGB channel display. Cycles through R→G→B with each button press. Useful for checking color balance.

Question. I’ve been trying to setup and save project settings for Shoot layouts. But every time I open a save, it resets my layers/sourcez/colorcorrections. It seems to keep the effects though? Is there a way to stop having to reselect them each time? It’s currently a big hassle, so I’m sure I’m just doing something wrong.

Hello, so far, I really love this app, but after using it a few times, I noticed one issue. After using it non-stop for about 4 hours, the program automatically fully closes. I don't get any errors or notifications; it just closes. It's quite inconvenient for me since I run long (more than 4 hours) ASMR streams. When this happens, I have to spend some time turning it on again. Is there any way I can fix this? Thank you.

Im.having an issue where the image becomes glitchy right across the middle of the screen. Like when I move the model in vtube its fine but in shoost her face warps.

Hi there! This is an amazing app! Thank you so much for making it!! I wonder if you have plans to add a crop feature for shoost at some point? Currently the only function available is scaling a layer. A function to scale X and scale Y separately would also be a great addition!

I'm still struggling with transparency on VT Studio. I have NDI settings on for both Shoost and VTS, transparency toggle is on in VTS color picker, I've tried refreshing and toggling things on and off in a variety of combinations. Is there a more in depth video that can help me with this? I can't use a Chroma Key because of my model colors.

There is currently no function to export pictures. You may want to use another software program, such as OBS, to record the picture.

Hi again! I was curious about the potential implementation of saving and multiple saved presets with hot key switching between them? Being able to launch shoost and it already be setup would be convenient. Also allowing me to switch presets along with scenes in obs using hot keys or my Elgato Stream deck would add a great amount of flexibility.

Hi Che. I will answer your question. You can use the Vtube Studio screen in real time, or you can record it and import it as a video.
