If Pikmin does win: I personally preferred the Wii ("New Play Control") version; aiming where to throw Pikmin is much quicker than moving the reticle with the c-stick, but if you don't think your pointer control issues from Metroid Prime are well resolved, you might prefer the Gamecube version. The Wii version doesn't support GC controls, so you'll have to decide before buying. Also, Pikmin 2 for Wii gets quite expensive; might want to have a look out on ebay for a month or so to try to find a good deal on it, if you're planning to prepare for a potential followup vote.
