I believe that for this episode they took the concept of the shoulder Angel and Demon, and the fact that we haven’t seen anything of Heaven in this spinoff featuring the natives of the afterlife rather than its diaspora population, and attempted to draw a 15-minute line between those two points.

This episode is generally considered one of the weakest Helluva Boss episodes by many fans. The next episode called "The Harvest Moon Festival" is where the show really starts to pick up on it's story arc and lore.
