There will be some changes made. Deus finds it easier to rule happy nations and plans way beyond "slay my tribe's enemies and loot all the foreign aid I can grab". I imagine the OAS is just sitting back sipping tea while they watch a white guy undo centuries of colonial legacy.

It does! Old Panzers were used for some time in poorer countries, but I think they'd have all be replaced by now. I'd expect mostly T-55s, with a smattering of basic T-72s to be the mainstay of a poor countries armoured force now (in Iraq M2 Bradleys killed T-55s with their 25 mm cannon).

he seems to be one of the few who think a bit ahead, the only thing stopping our RL versions from Bettering the world while making probably even more money is the short sight they have regarding good worker health and moral the issue of without money we can spend money and that they are also part of the world and are also outnumbered

Yeah, panel 1 confuses me. I see blue and my brain tells me that it's water, but then I see some of the blue has drop shadows as if they're rocks or something? I get what's going on in the comic. It just seems at odds with panel 1, which looks like they're fighting in a river delta with big blue rocks.

Of course Deus speaks fluent Portuguese. About 25 years ago, I discovered that Mozambique had the lowest per capita income in the world: $80. No doubt they were mostly subsistence farmers. Guess not much has changed. BTW, it's Malawi, not Malawai.

Strange as it seems, I think Deus actually believes that by improving the lives of the working class, actually makes them work better. And that improving a country actually gives him a lot of power... I mean, its all ultimately self serving, he's not out to specifically help these people, but helping them actually helps his plan, so he is happy to invest in them. The question is A. Does he have the resources to pull it off? And B. How does he deal with all the opportunity seekers who inevitably show up trying to wet their beaks and are not as nice as Deus? Its all very well to have a plan which improves peoples lives, not so good when your middle management screw it up by trying to line their own coffers (Though honestly, thats a stupid thing to do, you don't mess with Deus).

I mean, I can’t argue with the General’s logic. He has no reason to believe Deus. Every businessman and politician who has ever promised anything for the country has likely been lying and corrupt and made things worse. He assumes Deus would be the same… because why not? What he fails to realise is how much power Deus has, how much money he has, and how much he enjoys playing real life Sim City. Based on my own experience in games, theses a lot of satisfaction in building a grand society.
