The important thing to take away from this page is that, yes, the Alari have ass-sculpting technology.
A hundred and thirty languages is a lot. It's one of those figures I could probably justify by reminding everyone that she's a super-genius and also 187 years old, but even so, that's basically a language every year and a half. She probably only learned 3-5 by the time she got into demon middle school. Her demon elementary school was diverse, sure, but you don't want to learn languages from people who barely speak it themselves. Besides, she didn't even learn she could do this until late demon middle school.
By the time she got into demon high, she'd learned connecting to others' brains like this has a lot of other benefits, especially when making out. Let's just say it made all parties involved extra invested in getting to second base and beyond. Succubi have more bases than other females. Well, maybe not, but more innings, anyway.
This is one of those things I'm surprised I wasn't able to work into the comic before now, but Xhosa is a pretty cool sounding language. She's not going keep her brain tentacles in their ear sheaths in a target rich environment like that.

The Terran spoke first. They didn't need to understand either of the other two. Of course the other two have translators, they're from off-planet. That said, Deus did bring back stuff, and this person is someone he's letting hang here so presumably there are, in fact, translators all around.

slightly amazed Dabs didn't go the Starfire route for language acquisition: a long, deep kiss. though, i suppose that would be hewing a little too close to plagiarism, and not close enough to shout-out/tribute/reference. Two more points: firstly, if the speech bubbles in panels 9 and ten are supposed to be untranslated then translated, the punctuation is off, one question mark should be an exclamation point of verse visa; second, i am once again lobbying for a Lorlara featured vote incentive!

I assume the three all have universal translators to be able to speak with each other that way. The amazing thing to me is how close we are to that today. Give Google Translate 20 years or so, and we'll all be doing that.

How come they're conversing in three different languages instead of using one common to all of the speakers? Because all three people would have to know three different languages otherwise. Also what happened to all those Alari ghosts that got released into Earth from Sciona's portal?

Presumably she already knows Chiktr and Alar. Now she knows how to say 'ass' in yet another language. On the other hand, some of those other soldiers ought to have been a bit more wary about an outsider connecting brains with one of their own. What else has Dabbler learned about them? Has she established any kind of a connection or control with that soldier? All sorts of considerations.
