Oh crap I got a feeling Madison might be taking things into her own hands.
It makes sense that the chief doesn't want to deal with the legal nightmare of Madison and her finger breaking again. What doesn't make much sense is letting Gripps handle the interrogation instead of Sev, the more competent one. Not sure what the chief's thinking with that pick. Looks like we're about to get renegade biker Madison vs. the criminal underworld, which should be fun, though I can see things backfiring badly if Reena needs backup and Madison isn't around to provide it.
