Too late, it did it automatically. I think it was turned back on by EA after I did a repair last month. Now I only have a black loading screen. I had backed my mods, saves, and tray.

In steam you can turn off auto update

I don’t have offline mode but a lot of my save file and mods are taken out of the mod file and hanging out on my desktop

What do I do now that my sims got updated by itself through steam? I had no clue it will fuck it up so hard!! The screen is not even loading! I just closed it now since I can’t even play🤦🏻‍♀️

Probably has to do with the new creator store, I am surprised it took them this long to have one so they can make money from all the modding.

thats why you never update your game right after! You always have to wait a week or two until modders or EA fixes the issues! I learned this years ago from experience. Hope this helps. 🫰🏽

Whenever these updates occur, I've always taken the mods that I know will break, such as mods that affect gameplay, body sliders, overrides, traits, etc. But I'd never thought that this update would get removed and/or break body presets, skin details, hairs, and makeup... 💀
