July Ramble; Insomnia, eye infections, content (transcript below)
🕑 Added 2022-07-01 19:03:08 +0000 UTCHello everybody! It’s been a hell of a month this June, so I want to start by saying ‘hello,’ and that I appreciate you for trusting me and trusting my content. Nothing makes me happier than reading your thoughts and comments on a video.
I feel like I’ve been especially dark or quiet these past weeks, so I want to tell you about what’s going on with me. First, I’m a little out of sorts, a little disoriented, sometimes frustrated, but on the whole, I’m grand. Family life is everything I could ever wish for, and I’m grateful.
Despite that, I am battling a wicket insomnia. I sometimes go 24-72 hours without sleep. So many things contribute to this, but it’s part of a managed condition so although I’m not worried about it, it IS irritating and the changes in perception because of l lack of sleep can be disorienting.
Early in June what I thought was a stye turned out to be an alarming infection on my eyelid. Topical antibiotics mostly reduced it, but now 4 weeks later, there’s still redness and some raising of the skin, and it’s spreading in tendrils up toward my brow. I went to the urgent care clinic where the doctor express mild concern and wrote scripts for oral antibiotics for the growing cellulitis and drops for apparently some hiding conjunctivitis under my lid. So that’s been fun.
Content has been evolving at a crazy rate. From high production titles like Singapore and Whatever It Means, to minimal stuff like …whatever the vampire ones were called, and even more experimental binaural stuff like the mobster, ghost boyfriend. I’m dizzy with possibilities, and so many possibilities is giving me somewhat of a block. Every artist gets blocked, so I’m not panicking, but it IS interfering with my typical nonstop explosion of content both on YouTube and Patreon, and even Instagram.
I’m embracing the changes in process and hope you’ll be patient while I stay quieter. Content schedules remain intact, so we’ll get a July audio soon!

eye problems are no joke. at least you're taking off next week on twitch (hopefully to rest it). also, it's so weird this is listed as 32 minutes on patreon when it's just under 6 on youtube
