NOOOO

Nice Chapter

Yuval Roth

I think it is unlikely she would make any plan in which she dies, also, if Itzac kills her, he becomes a skinwalker, and those are implied to have very shoddy foundations to their power.

Nicholas

The skulls did warn Iztac that his mother was a scoundrel of the highest order. The real question is how much of this was voluntary on Itzili's part? Given his character, I wouldn't be surprised if he agreed to the terms if it meant his son's freedom. Itchaca probably told him Iztac would have to provide one of his beloveds skulls, and that spurred him into action.

I am shocked wow

Matthew Flowers

I take all this as foreshadowing. Something similar but worse will happen between him and Nenetl. Likely over their child, I don’t know how he will pull himself from feeling worse than his Mother

Matthew Escobar

You know at first I thought the murder in the family had to do with talxcala, but then you had to subvery my expectations once again voidherald! Come on man, let iztac have a break, ot st least let him keep a semblance of humanity left. I hope the third layer is a bit easier on his soul

Grog_Guy

Wonder if she could have gotten him out with that possession spell she was working on.

Runaway_Cactuar

Maybe Ichtaca set this all up to give Iztac the resolve to kill her and free himself of their bitter past (and the black pyramid). That's the nicest interpretation I can have on her actions.

Publius Decius Mus

Inkarri revived the First Emperor somehow after he was sacrificed. So I guess there is a way to do it, and if anyone can find out, it's Iztac.

Dylan Alexander

I wonder if, because of this, he’ll kill his mother and that will be what sets hem free from Xibalba?

I imagine that the next chapter will be called the price of power or something else to that effect. For Ichtaca to sacrifice the father of her children and deny him their daughter speaks to a true callousness. I imagine that Iztac will lose yet another inhibition and start going Caligula on people. Wives, daughters, sometimes wives and daughters.

Carlos Torres

I wonder if he went voluntarily?

Yuval Roth

And betrayal in the family, I really am curious as for why she did it, my first guess was that it was of love in some level, that she did it so Iztac could leave the city, that his father may have even agreed to it, but his father showed no knowledge of it, and she showed shame, I think she did it for one reason, she wanted to escape the city and was willing to sacrifice his father for it, her story seems to follow that pattern, she finds something she love, and when reality make that love untenable, she cast it off to save herself, it is realistic, I suspect she couldn't have saved his father the moment she brought him in, she doomed him the moment she brought someone she loved to the city of fright.
