onward and upward into 2022 !

It's been a weird year for me -- I had a meltdown in January, took February off (and picked up crocheting), closed my shop (for physical products at least), started making Patreon postcards, continued streaming and made Twitch partner (!!!), and have been in this weird sort of art/career purgatory for what feels like the whole year. I also found out that I have ADHD!!! Which was huge!! I've got a psychiatrist appointment on the 19th of January which I am hoping will be my Key Item so that I can finally get properly medicated for it, haha. That combined with some good therapy should give me the tools I need to like...build a proper work/life relationship, haha.
I know I've got to figure some stuff out next year, but I'm trying hard to not be like "you've gotta get all your personal shit sorted by the time you're 30!!! YOU HAVE TWO YEARS LEFT, LET'S GO" and more like "my personal identity and sense of self is forever evolving and changing, and while I have to put focused effort into this journey, I can't rely on one day magically arriving at a place where I will forever be satisfied with [x] version of myself", and that feels way less scary. So! I'm hoping I'll learn to manage my ADHD to the point where I can understand myself, and I can be more purposeful in the shaping of my life, instead of feeling like I have to drag my brain along on a leash 3 feet behind me.
(sidebar, when I was told I have ADHD, it put into perspcetive why I'm so tired all the time -- cause I have to expend SO much energy just trying to do normal day to day things!!! no wonder being my own employer is so especially hard and weird and seemingly impossible for me to get a hold on rip)
ANYWHO! That's all me stuff! And I'll figure it out! What I wanted to say to y'all is thanks for sticking around -- thank you for your support and your patience as 1) I navigate through the weirdness of my late 20s and 2) as the world continues to deal with [gestures vaguely] everything. I'll say it till I'm blue in the face: I am so honored that you have decided to support me with your hard earned earth dollars, and I am forever grateful that you want me to be a part of your lives! Time is the most precious resource we have, and I'm thankful to have just a tiny bit of yours. Y'all allow me the incredible freedom to figure stuff out while pursuing the things I love, and I will simply never be able to thank you enough for the life that you have given me.
I hope that your 2021 was alright -- even if it wasn't, you're here! Which is an incredible feat! I am so proud of you, I love you so dearly, and I hope that 2022 is a little brighter and lighter for all of us.
