R. Maxwell Steele

His little plant baby spirit, got that Drop of Life and then it got ROBBED away. Nothing I hate more than claimed loot being clawed back.

Mitchell Meyers

Goddamn monks. Can't wait for this war

Oddz H.

This what I am wondering also Can anyone who absorbed this better than us confirm please 😅

SandreX

It means Holy Son is back and he brings chaos with him

Jeff McCulley

I don’t suppose Conflict has its own lower plane—but am pretty sure it does have its own Authority. So, snapped too.

DonnyDF

A realm lord screams He’s back… He’s back…’ ‘The gardens burn… Flames of WAR!’ and I don’t see anyone in the comments theorising what exactly that means. Smh

EsoEasy

Well said!

James Roach

Playing support and helping to absorb energy… probably while Esmeralda was croaking about other Zac minimizing her… and from the story so far she has the stronger point.

Timothy Dana

What happened to other Zac during all of this?

Kaladin

I think the empire might be okay with that. Zac the terminal son might carry on the flame and goal of the empire not for them but for his own reasons he will accomplish what they originally intended

James Roach

When deciding to start this series I read a lot of comments about the first few books in the series being essential reads for the litrpg genre… then about how a lot of people stopped reading later in the series. The complains were often too much time spent on cultivation… which I understood before the series entered its galactic war arc after Zac entered Hegemony. However without all those cultivation in a cave forced to forge your own path chapters despite your own shortcomings… how do you explain what happened here. Like somehow Zac keeps exceeding my expectations for how much chaos he is capable of causing… and I love it. Honestly I just feel bad for people who stopped reading.

John

Don’t some of yall think Zac’s going to steal the fate accumulated in this trial meant for the Limitless Empire for his own Atwood Empire? This seed seems like a good start. What does something like this turn into after growing through the grades with such an impression from Zac’s path. Even the inner turmoil caused by Zac leaving its side seems like it could be a good thing, instills a real sense of Conflict personally.

Booksaregood

You’re a king, TFD, you’re a king

Jeff McCulley

Sure, now you just made me think. The Limitless Empire has its nine Founding Families. Anyone one to count how many Zac and the Atwood Empire are going to have? Rather, who those Nine Families will be? Ogras, Carl, Emily, Joanna, Vilari…?

Jeff McCulley

Their primary goal here seems to be to sabotage the Trial. They don’t want the Limitless Empire to come back, in part because they think there will be endless wars.

Jeff McCulley

I was figuring that was what the “Holy Life” we just saw was building towards, in conjunction with what Janos is trying to pull off.

Jeff McCulley

This!!!

Jeff McCulley

I’m wondering if we have a POV switch to Galau or Cathey’s at the Daedalian Court, who see the Sangha folks getting really mad—and don’t understand why. Ditto with the Pesvati Rift Imperials being really happy. It also wouldn’t shock me if that first ring on the Daedalian Court pylon switched to Life or Holy Life flavored. At the least, Zac got one somewhere.

Malcolm

I can’t wait till we find out what the Sangha is actually doing and how Zac fucks up their plan

Andrew

Thank you!

Ether Harwell

You know, something that no one has mentioned, is how the Poised Meadow can give life to abstract ideas, and if it can do that, maybe it can give life to everyone in the dream domains

Kaladin

“The status quo isn’t enough." If there's one thing Zac is good at it's chaos and unbalancing the status quo.

Jeff McCulley

“He’d broken the bonds that chained him to the grand tapestries of Dao” I’ll bite. Did he break the chain binding him to the Empyrean Chalice as well? The one that connected to Iz Tayn’s grandma’s Throne? Clearly, he must have broken the connection to the Primo’s Authority. I’ll also guess that the Sangha presence had to do with the foundations of the Bridge of Karma that was mentioned way back.

Sean

Not expecting status screen changes, or at least not many. Last body tempering breakthrough iirc there wasn’t much stat changes but he said that it was still very obvious he was much more powerful. Being able to effortlessly regrow limbs without creation is a massive power up by itself. Seems like he’s gearing up to be the anti-Buddhist, which makes sense given the Dao of Samsara being a rejection of the peak of Chaos in favor of the peak of Order and both involving life and death. His body tempering is basically the opposite of the Buddhist’s body tempering, and now he’s even more resistant to Karma. Plus his crazy strong heart, I see him taking out a Buddhist Monarch.

Sarah-Chris Joint

Ogras having a sip while barely outrunning a tsunami of life and saying "don't sweat it" - he's as bad as Carl. Supremely enjoyable.

Justin

Half way through this chapter and just wanted to say it’s lit! Great writing , can really get a sense of what’s happening and visualize it and it’d straight up bad a**

Reno

So... How many chains did he break? 9 hell realmlords, 9 gardens, a bunch for conflict, and a bunch for the integrated supremacies of Life and Death like the Primo and the Tayns? (Chapter 1323 mentioned the Tayn authority over life) And something about the lords of the Abyssal Shores. I wonder if Conflict has its own lower planes. And how many there might be. That's a lot of chains snapping in one go.

Tom C

Hehe, fuck yeah Zac! I love how he always goggles in shock at how much mayhem his actions cause. We all sitting here expecting the utter chaos! TFTC!

Omiso

In a previous chapter it was mentioned the Sangha have one of the Seals of the Heavens and are looking to expand their influence into one of the Thrones of the Heavens they might be trying to use the trial to further their goals so now a battle against the Sangha (or some of them since Yselio chapter proved there are divisions among the baldies) seems inevitable. The fate of scalp hair across the universe is at stake!

Lex Luther S

Ohhh boy, I guess I underestimated how big a bang zacs actions would be. To be fair, he was just the spark that lit the oil soaked fuse already at its limit, but man, what a big ass spark he was. From blessed fate and his little acolytes trying to once again interfere with zac and his breakthrough to a literal tidal wave of faith imbued flames scorching the Karma trying to make its way through. The biggest boon is zac breaking those earthly chains and boy ohh boy I look forward to the next status screen. Still though, I guess zacs little seed took a bit to much after its surrogate father. Little guy got so greedy he tried to take a perfected natal treasure and even though it failed, just getting a taste would be a massive boon.

Tyler

Wasn't she even further away? She should be alright.

Edgar Segura

Amazingly written thank you

SandreX

Amm guys... Wher is Tavza?

Adam Boshcoff

Woot! A new breakthrough!

Jeff McCulley

“Decides”, or “realizes”? He doesn’t know yet that the Sangha are working to subvert the rise of the LIE/LIP. Then Yselio will be next on that particular list.

Palmer Evans

100% agree - no other cultivation series comes close to this in terms of consistent and building epicness. And that’s thanks to the high quality foundation provided in what many describe as the “slower” chapters. This series is peak and revolutionary in the genre imo. I can only imagine once AI can covert this series into a visual adaption of some sort (I don’t see how we ever get a full adaptation of this series without AI).

Jeff McCulley

I suppose Friday will start with him going over his gains? Then he has to face up to Tavza, for breaking EVERYTHING.

Jeff McCulley

Well, then. That was fun!

Joshua Little

Thanks for the chapter.

Dane

Epic. I’ve been a fan of this story for a long time, and I see complaints about bloat and too many aspects to Zac’s cultivation. I understand this, but TFD writes these moments of progress so well that I end up not caring, and these moments add to Zac’s momentum. I also really enjoy the philosophical explorations regarding the Dao. I think a lot of Western litRPG or cultivation books shy away from that, and I think it’s a shame

Tyler S.

Good to see another boost for Zac, how much did it rally improve is the next question tyftc

Michael Dugan

Things usually don't turn out too well for those that Zac decides are working against him.

Sirloki

First!
