We've had ups and we've had downs, and now Squid Game is finally coming to an end with its third and final season. I mean, so they say. Wasn't David Fincher gonna make an American season? I don't know, who cares because THIS IS IT... FOR NOW...
Will Season 2: Part 2 wrap it all up with a pink bow on a black box with a body inside? Or will it have been better off ending two seasons ago?

Every decision post season 1 feels bogged down by the fact that they killed almost every character from the first season, so they have to start over with new ones every season per the formula, and that to me feels like why the ending is so rushed, we've really only had two sets of characters and aside from a few ghostly cameos, the first season characters are straight up forgotten. Retroactively makes the first season feel unimportant narratively. I'm mixed on how I feel about this, I'm kinda just rambling out my thoughts.

I've been nervous to get to this track to see the end and I will say that I actually enjoyed it. I think there are criticisms for sure, but even though I wish it just ended at this, I like the reveal that it is not just them. This is everywhere. It leaves you to imagine what each culture's games looks like and how they compare and contrast. But I wish it was left to *OUR* imagination. Though I will say that Cate Blanchett is such a great choice because she exudes that same kind of cunning and dominating power that left me with a slow chill. ((It would've been extra awesome if it was only a cameo))
